  • I put this trike train together to welcome the League of Illinois Bicyclists to Staunton, IL on their journey to Chicago. A Trike Train of this size can only be done in a controled environment. The ride was fantastic and we hit a top end of about 10 m.p.h. We controled the train with hand signals. This setup was to also done to challenge other groups to put together the same number or more trikes that Hase has done in Germany which is 92. We have a ways to go.

  • two words. Awesome.

  • how fast can this train go ? Is it comfortable for long trips?

If you're one of the following units you can read a book. It's less effort because you reduce the number of wheels per unit and have less wind resistance. Most trikes aren't geared for speed so you're never going to go real fast. I wouldn't ride in traffic w/ a long train & you can't haul much luggage either, so I wouldn't think touring in a train is viable unless you're on a seperate bike path & have a support vehicle. Then it might be a lot of fun.
