Where did you find the aluminum frame/cage or did you make it. I think I might do this.

I made it all from 5 lents of 20 feet 1" box steel to make the frame and 2 8x4 sheet a aluminum . you can seen in Airsoft Tank at the Quarry on youtube.

I have just finish the tank so should have video up soon . i put kill switches on bout sides of the tank and if hit the engine stops so all in side are dead.
