The Swiss standard issue rifle is the SG 550, there is also the SG 551 and SG 552.  The American equivalents of the SG 550 and SG551 are the M16 (SG 550) and M4 (SG 551) as far as dimensions. The SG 552 is in a class of its own in a way, also it is different internally from the 550 and 551 (the action was reworked and similar to a Kalashnikov, which case reliability issues), there is also the SG 553 is essentially a SG 552 with internals matching the 550 and 551 to solve the reliability issues.

There are civilian version, but in the US you shouldn't need any licenses (as long as the 2nd ammendment stands strong).

Well if you are getting it from your military then i suggest the 552. I also recommend the EO tech 553 and depending on your unit (i.e Special Forces, dual-magazine clamp, tactical flashlight, and if you are standard infantry 3x or 4x trinigon ACOG or an Aimpoint with removable 3x.)

wow don't use CS gun qualities like "less damage" with suppressors and stuff. the suppressor may drop the velocity by a small margin but is totally unnoticeable. It fires the 5.56 x45 so regardless its gonna kill the enemy. great weapon by the way

Actually, the suppressor will increase the bullet velocity, so long as the barrel isn't ported. Try it with a chrono sometime.
