I would never put Kobe in the top 15 this is the real list 1 wilt 2 jordan 3 magic 4 kareem 5 larry 6 Big O 7 Jerry west 8 Tim Duncam 9 Shaq 10 A.I. 11 The Dream 12 Moses Malone 13 Dwyane Wade 13 LeBron James 14 Kobe Bryant 15 Karl Malone
1 Bill Russel 11 rings in 13 years 2 larry bird 3 wilt chamberlain 4 bill walton 5 shaq 6 pistol pete 7 rik barry 8 tim duncan 9 olajuwon 10 jordan 11 kareem 12 tiny archibald 13 the doctor 14 worthy 15 dominique
he has the top 15 right, but there are people who shouldnt even be on the list yet. lebon & wade are too young and that goes for amare too. eventually they will be on this list but rught now it is too early to say wether or not they should be on the list of best nba players ever. and also he has people that i have never heard of. like whos michael jordan? jk we ALL know who he is but to be serious whos ever heard of numbers #98,97,96,94,90,89,88,86,85,66,63,62,58,51,36,or number 31?
@MemphisTigersDRose23 i agree that there are some players to be higher like wilt,in my opinion should be top3 for sure,bird-oscar should be top 5-6,j.west top 10,baylor top 20 at least or isiah thomas and also some players should be lower....come on shaq no 4 and duncan no7?NOWAY...shaq should be no 9-10 and tim not higher than top 15-20 BUT i disagree with u saying those players should n't be in the list cause u do n't know them!for example no90 is the first player avg 30+p in ΝΒΑ history !
@AdreasTheGreat no 85,thompson was those guy he enter jordan to the HOF...great player and dunker in 70's!the same for haywood...but u don't even know dantley who was one of the best scorers in 80's,the golden NBA era!cunningam was a great all-around forward of 60's-70's and great leaper to,his nickname was the kangaroo-kid and so goes on!what i want to say is the fact u do n't know some of those great legends doesn't mean do n't deserve to be at this list,in 50 years kids would n't know mj to!
Here's the top 100 I have in the NBA official new list (of the 500 best players): 100-Buck Williams 99-Vince Carter 98-Grant Hill 97-Tracy McGrady 96-Pau Gasol 95-Dikembe Mutombo 94-Spencer Haywood 93-Jim Pollard 92-Bob Love 91-Bobby Dandbridge 90-Sidney Moncrief 89-Mitch Richmond 88-Chris Mullin 87-Tim Hardaway 86-Dwigth Howard 85-Cliff Hagan 84-Artis Gilmore 83-Adrian Dantley 82-Alex English 81-Ed Macauley 80-Chris Webber 79-Ray Allen 78-Joe Dumars 77-Paul Pierce 76-Dave DeBusschere
This was as of DECEMBER 2007 a lot has changed since then and nbaballer this was Durants rookie year! and too make the top 100 all time as a rookie is impossible.
Not true, one player is The Greatest by a long long way because he gives the world what Ronald Reagan, Bush and United Nation cannot. Ron Artest gives us world peace.
@NBA2ksportsceltics I think that D Wade should be on here since he lead miami to a championship especially in the fashion that he did it. I agree with you regarding lebron. He hasn't earned a right to considered one of the all time greats although he's all time talented. Kobe to me should be around 7 or 8. He's contributed to too many championships. And he's still playing great now.
The NBA did an official 50 best of all time, but I think this is some f*ckery. I looked up Neil Johnston who is apparently #31, and big up to Chillicothe, but it looks like he had a great career but 31? I got beef with Kobe at 11, he should be higher. Duncan IS one of the greatest PFs ever, but he is too high. James Worthy was way too low. GP 37, really? Steve Nash is much, much, much better than AI. 21 is too high for Lebron at this juncture. Olajuwon and Duncan should switch spots.
really. Tim Duncan is better than bird? IT should be this. 10.shaq 9.worthy 8.chamberlain 7.kobe 6.erving 5.bill rusell 4.magic johnson 3.kareem 2. bird 1. JORDAN! Bird is better than magic because magic going into the nba already had fame and respect, but bird actually had to work for it. 4.
Pete Maravich is number one: why? because Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant, Elgin Baylor and anyone who actual plays and study's basketball knows it: because he has moves that Michael Jordan would look like a kindergardener trying to perform: and this is the dumbest list of all time: why? Because lebron james - the self proclaimed "the king' - shouldn't even be in top 100: this is a joke and everyone here is dumber for watching this.
I ain't a heter but how the hell did LeBron get in top 21 nd most of the players before him were way better than him. LeBron u bad but u over rated in this list. U would've been in the 60's or 70's in mine. Nd Kobe's my fav. but i can't argue with his place, even though he would've been in my top 5 or 6. No Offense. MJ is truly the greatest. I luv the top five, but the rest is kinda messed up. Nd as for the NBA, do a better job in picking the greatest players.
He wasn't even found yet and if it was made now he probably wouldn't be on it bcuzz he's only like three years pro. But he is a badass. Dis is why i questioned LeBron's place. He was only like 2 or 3 years pro when they made this list.
Wow. Karl Malone ahead of Kobe. Pat Ewing like number 40 and Sir charles in like the top 15. What was the difference between the two? Both were good players with no rings in the same era
hakeem needs to be in the top ten and tim duncan better than larry bird and oscar robertson and shaq ahead of wilt did shaq ever score 100 points in 1 game wtf man
really??? do you really think tim duncan is a better player than dwayne wade or kobe bryant or even john stockton??? i mean tim duncan is cool but kobes top ten...
@BNS224: Excellent points. Again, I can't argue. I'm old enough to remember when Moses was HYPED by the league, and for good reason. When MJ came along, a lot of the older players who'd gotten publicty (even ones with cool nicknames like Iceman and Chocolate Thunder) were pretty much forgotten. Not MJ's fault, but it's nice to see somebody who remembers that Larry, Magic and Michael weren't the only players in the 80's.
I'm not a fan of either Tracy McGrady or Reggie Miller. However, I don't see why McGrady rates 20 slots higher than Miller. That doesn't exactly make sense. No way is T-Mac one of the 50 greatest of all time.
Great, the NBA thinks TiM Duncan is better than Larry Bird. Larry Bird, the leader of his team and rated no. 8 by whoever the NBA is supposed to be here, beat a team in the 1984 finals that had no.2, Kareem, and no.4 Magic. You think if you replaced Bird with Duncan they would have even gotten out of the 2nd round of the playoffs? You don't think if Bird played for the Spurs during the same weak years the Spurs probably would've won 7 or 8 championships? Debusschere at no.70? NBA=NoBballAcumen
1. Kobe Bryant 2. Lebron James 3. Dwyane Wade 4. Carmelo Anthony 5. Kevin Garnett 6. Dwight Howard 7. Kevin Durant 8. Derrick Rose 9. Dirk Nowitzki 10. Rajon Rondo DREAM TEAM! :) LOL i wonder what would happen if they're gonna be put up on one team. o.O
if Kobe played in his prime, im talkin back in the 81 point days, with the Lakers team he has had over the past 4 years or so, he would have won every year and would have 8 rings by now. its all timing, and MJ played vs white people.
@KOBEandCAMBRIA24 magic johnson, barkley, bird, shaq, hakeem the dream, the admiral, karl malone, gary payton, the 90s was white?lol and just because kobe's more skilled doesn't mean he's better.how is he a better scorer?im pretty sure 30>25.in what way is kobe better?he's a shot jacker...mj's FG% is higher than kobes by 4% if i remember.you are way over exaggerating,8 rings?lmao he got sweeped by the mavs.every player grows old and out of their prime (exceptions for a few players)
the most skilled player ever is Kobe Bryant. when compared to MJ, Kobe's better at shooting, hes a better scorer (although his numbers say hes not. its beacause Kobe came in the league at 17 and his first 4 years brought his career average down. also, if Kobe played w/o shaq, he coulda scored 40 a year), he has better footwork, hes the best perimeter tough shot maker in NBA history (BY FAR), he has better fundamentals. MJ's better at drivng, defense and post game. Kobe is the best... Ever.

the most skilled player ever is Kobe Bryant. when compared to MJ, Kobe's better at shooting, hes a better scorer (although his numbers say hes not. its beacause Kobe came in the league at 17 and his first 4 years brought his career average down. also, if Kobe played w/o shaq, he coulda scored 40 a year), he has better footwork, hes the best perimeter tough shot maker in NBA history (BY FAR), he has better fundamentals. MJ's better at drivng, defense and post game. Kobe is the best... Ever.
