Wonderful version, although i don't love the Ashkenazi pronunciation, Jolie was a Russian Jew of the late 18th and early 19th Century he would have known no other accent.

interesting- as these lyrics are not the ones used today. i suppose that shortly after Israel became a state, the lyrics were re-done.

Yes, the final line of the original lyrics were, "To return to the Land of our Fathers, to the city where David set up camp"
Today, they are "To live as a free nation in our Land, the Land of Zion and Jerusalem"
