  • This, is probably the best ever piece of british Comedy ever!

  • Perfect parody of Saturday Night and Sunday Morning - 'Sir Norbert Smith; A Life" is surely the most underrated and unseen piece of TV comedy. Can't understand why it was never released on DVD. Very glad I recorded it on VHS at the time.

  • no but you can ave a clip round the ear ya little bastard!

  • That's not our kid that's next doors!

    lol

  • I'm goin' out to fly me bloody whippets.

  • Aye! You go out to fly ya bloody whippets

  • If I 'ad a decent 'ome to back to I wouldn't 'AVE to go out an' fly me bloody whippets.

  • It has more than a grain of truth in it.

  • im sitting here with the guy who played "that bloody baby"!!!

  • I hope he's grown up and got hi'self a propper job! ...bloody bebe!!!

  • i aint goin down t'pit our jud

  • UTTER GENIUS!!! Its 90% Saturday night sunday morning and 10% Kes. Two brilliant films to begin with. The whole norbert smith spoof is a work of genius (though he was running out of ideas by the time he got to the Carry On and Mandella sketches). But even Dali painted a duff picture here and there! This is the pinnacle of Harrys comedy carreer and puts him right up there with Laurel and Hardy and Tommy Cooper at their very best. MAGIC. Cheers for posting :-)

  • - "I was late for school 'cause dad gave me a belting so I had to stay behind to get the cane."

    - "Got the cane, did you? I'll take my bloody belt to you for that!"

    Priceless... :D

  • Its based on Albert Finney in Saturday Night, Sunday morning.

  • who's the father this time...classic!

  • Right, that bloooody well does it.

Ah'm sendin this to me Mam.

    She's a Coronaaashun Street fan.

  • I'm sure this was broadcasted late 1989. When i saw it, i realised the guy's genius.

  • i think this a piss take of the film "poor cow". rita tushingham i think

  • It's very definitely Kes meets Spring and Port Wine, in my opinion.

  • A bit of McGann there...that's nice. ^__^

  • I love that....isn't it out on DVD yet??

  • Oh yes- the best scene in a classic mockumentary!

"Oh brother, can I 'ave some money to buy some shoes?"

"No you can't, but you can 'ave a clip around the ear you little bastard!"

    AAhahahaha!

  • Was that Paul McGann as the older son?

    Thanks for posting.

  • No its his brother Joe McGann; who played Charlie in The Upper Hand

  • This is a classic. Been hoping to see this clip for years!!! Always quoting from it. :)

  • The good old days, when When Harry Enfield was still funny.

  • still is.

  • "He was young, he was working class, and he had no scruples!" Rebel Without A Tie. Thanks so much for posting this.

  • Thank you, thank you... I've been wanting to watch this again for years! Do you have the 'Milk Bar' scene? "Keep your hair on, Daddy-O". Excellent.

  • I will upload it as ASAP

  • I remember nearly drowning once whilst trying to surf with my two mates. After surviving the hellish experience my mates followed me to the shallow and in an attempt to cheer me up he recited "aye, you go outside and fly your bloody whippet!" I then proceeded to laugh sea water down my nose. A memory I shall take to the grave!

  • nice one dude, I have been looking for this for years, harry enfield in his prime, priceless.. 'you little bastard'!

  • Brilliant! Have'nt seen that for years! "When's that baby going to grow up & get a proper job?"
