  • One of my favourite singers. Awesome voice. Big fan. I am 40, so hopefully squeeze into the 'younger fan' category!!

  • @ladymoorcroft

Thanks for you comments. So may people share your view. Many are of age to have been fans of Frank back in the 1960's and later. But, I am hearing from a large number of new fans who are too young to have been fans back in the 1960s through the 1980's. They are hearing his songs for the first time and are struck by how fantastic a singer Frank was. They say they love his music. Again, thanks for posting your kind words. Bud

  • Frank Ifield was a phenomenon in UK charts and TV when he burst in at #2 with this novel sound !

  • Looking and listening to Frank sing gives me that feel good factor .!!!!!

  • Like one of your best tunes, I remember you, Frank. I just didn't know you were this good!

  • Frank was awesome. All the old guys make the kids today sound like braying asses.

  • The music "experts" tried to tell Frank Ifield that yodeling was "verbotten". After all, how could someone be a popular singer and a yodeler? Frank showed them better.

Elvis and the Beatles would not be considered "relevant" by today's standards. After all, who would want to watch some guy with weird hair and a sneer gyrating all over the stage, or see four British guys with mop heads sing strange harmonies and performing to odd rhythyms. That just does not cut it.

  • One of the best Australian singers of all time

  • @gezzamatey

One of the best singers period in my book! :)

  • @Babyhowdy233

You won;t get any argument from me on that one,,,I agree wholeheartedly

  • @gezzamatey In terms of class of voice, he is probably THE Best voice Anywhere on record ... except maybe, PavarottiLOL!

  • great frank ifield will always be listened to by many his songs and talent unique and plays guitar too.(a little)

  • This guy is pretty cool!

  • @38ddkelly

    AGREED !!

  • You know, it's one thing to be able to sing falsetto in the first place!...

But it is quite another to be able to sing Falsetto with such Power as in his final notes of this song!!

  • What a great post. Great song. Great professional and a charming performance. Thanks for the music Frank.

  • What a fabulous singer/entertainer. He needs no props. I can hear every word clearly, see every expression. Sublime.

  • @josicoyote Genius; isn't he??

  • Oh, he had to be the Best in his day: didn't he??

  • One of the greatest Yodeling I've ever heard!

  • @alitalati Amen!

  • Good-looking guy, great voice and a nice personality - what more could you want?

  • Who has "PLEASE" one of his best songs of the 60's

  • @harfuch1 "Please" by the Great Frank Ifield has now been posted on YouTube

  • @BudGray Thank you so much, those were my times in high school in Mexico City

  • @BudGray Hey; that's Terrific!

I class it possibly his best 'singing' performance - Please.

  • @harfuch1 Had it on an LP ... certainly, I thought it was the best performance on it: Yes!

  • I love him now but I thought he was really creepy when I was little. I used to hide behind the setee. I think it was the yodelling. I have recovered.

  • I loved him then but think the Yodel song is creepy now. Sold the single for 20p in 1974!

  • love his music. used to listen to this when I was 12 years old.

  • How can you not smile when you see Frank performing? He is so smiley and what a fabulous voice. It brings a smile to my face every time I see this. Brilliant! Thank you!

  • What a voice!

  • You gotta love Frank's happy disposition.

  • These posts have brought such joy to my days. I LOVE Frank Ifield and this song. Gutted that the'show of the week 1968' singing 'From nowhere' was removed. Wish I had a copy of it.

  • AWESOME!

  • This is great. Thank you.

  • What a talent! As a teenager I often wondered why he never became a big star in the USA. Good looking, with a pleasing and distinctive true voice and an incredible falsetto. In a way, I suppose he was "too wholesome" for the changing times of the 60's and 70's.

  • I have loved this man for years. Thanks for posting.

  • Brilliant, dig that crazy audience,

Franks the best, Thanks for sharing.
