According to violin critic Robert Maxham, Gimpel was as great as the greatest and greater than the rest. I have heard nothing to refute that estimation. Some may criticize his penchant for slow tempi. Mostly, I disagree. And such a sweet sound.

Excellent. I came here to listen to what Ghenady Meirson has recorded on his cede, Songs & Dances Ghenady Meirson, Piano Solo. Now to wonder if this peice can be played on a piano? And after listening to this a second time I guess it is just that possible with the piano.
