  • Hi , is it also good for guitar?

  • @drystef - I guess one could play guitar through this amp. Although, I imagine the cabinet (with it's piezo horn) would sound a bit brittle with guitar. Guitar needs a strong midrange and this amp and cabinet have been designed to provide very solid lows.

  • I have the same amplifier Fender 300 Pro Bassman all tube with a 4X10 and 1x15 cabinet the best i had !...

  • very nice, how much?

  • @actionfleet - this wonderful amp has been sold and is in the hands of a happy bass player somewhere in the USA.

  • @TubeDepotTV actually i just wanted to know how much i was going to pay at my local guitar shop but this answer is ok too :)

  • once again

"heres a geddy lee jazz bass!"

    plays no rush*

    facepalm*

  • @vectron12 - you are right ... I never noticed. Where is "YYZ"?

  • damn sweet amp

  • @BassDude50000 - very sweet ... it gets even better when turned up louder. And of course, we have this amp for sale.

  • can i get a sound from this amp that replicates a vintage bassman?

  • @koalanuggets45 - this amp is capable of replicating the blackface bassman sound (if run through a similar vintage styled cabinet). The 4x10 tweed bassman is more of a challenge, although most bass players would not want the tweed bassman sound anyway. The tweed bassman is much better for guitar players.

  • LOL. nice. exact same setup i play. what strings?

  • @srhmusic13 - Matt likes .45 gauge, and usually what ever is available. D'Addario strings are preferred.

  • hey man could u explain what is 600 Watts (Program), 300 Watts (Continous) Handling Capability of this cabinet on the 4x10 version of this does that mean it can only handle a 300 watt head? thanks

  • @dstrbd02 - good question, wattage can be measured in different ways. Where as a peak wattage may be something very large, the average wattage handling is something much less. "Program" wattage rating can be considered peak wattage and "continuous" wattage (or RMS wattage) is the average that one can safely expect. When picking a head to drive this cabinet, I would choose a head whose RMS (or average) wattage rating is no more than 300W.

  • Oh well that's a real useful demonstration. :/ it annoys me when YouTube 'demonstrations' are in slap bass (people showing off, or trying to, few serious players actually play like that) or fingers which changes with personal playing differences anyway. They should use a pick so you can actually hear it clearly...

  • @Spinbassflipbassfly - that is a good suggestion. Matt is a great bass player but I think he is strickly a fingers player vs. a pick.

  • I read in internet that this is a re edittion of the Sunn. Which was used more to rock music in the 60´s and 70´s. Can some one tell m if a heavy rock bass sound can be pulled off this amp? Want to to see a more versatile demo.

  • @sacamedeaca - Fender Musical Instruments Inc. (FMIC) owns the SUNN brand and both Fender and SUNN have shared knowledge about sound and manufacturing abilities. This is a great amp with a lot of power and great tone. It doesn't sound like an SVT, it is more harmonically rich that fits extremely well with straight forward rock n roll.

  • @sacamedeaca When Fender originally bought Sunn, this was released as the Sunn 300T. Then, when Fender discontinued Sunn, it put its name on the head.

  • I'd love to hear more of this, and some more divers bassplaying.

  • @Muziekschuur01 What is divers bass playing? Do divers play different than normal people?

  • @slpplexi1969 - divers do it in a wet suit ... lol

  • I'd love to hear this combination again after the bass is tuned up properly as I really want to hear what this amplifier has to offer a jazz bass player.

  • I agree, the tone is more fully blossomed with the volume up a bit more and when played in a larger room. But what impresses me is even at this close range and at a much lower volume, the tone controls still allow a great deal of range variety. Making this amp applicable even for a small gig.

  • You guys should do a full review on this thing.
