  • Mantarok did what it did because it benefited the most by having the other three ancients out of the way. With the others gone, they can't threaten anything it wants in the end.

  • Just how big are the other ancients. Mantorok is huge so compared to him are they smaller or bigger?

  • The battles between the various ancients took place in space, so I'd guess pretty damn huge.

  • They're probably slightly smaller than Mantorok, but bigger than the Greater Guardians. But that still is ambiguous (or unambiguous, I don't really know which), since we only know Mantorok's diameter, and even that which we can see might even be just a small bit of Him. His total volume, how deep he is, we have yet to see...

But let's just say for now that the Ancients are roughly the size of Blue Whales.

  • Immeasurable?

  • I heard they want to make a movie about it. (If it already is, sorry but I just heard about it :$) If it is avaible to see in Holland, I'll surely going to watch it! :)

  • @DionnexLovesxWTx yeah they wanted to make a movie about it, but they gave up because of the cost of the movie...imagine how much it would cost to make a movie from this game, with all the visual effects and stuff.

  • Yeah, I have no idea what you're saying.

  • They said they were making another one. look it up.

  • Actually, they said they are open to the idea. Right now they are working on Too Human trilogy. Just because they're willing to do doesn't mean it will happen.

  • If I can aske where did you hear that, I woul very very like to see a sequel of this game.

    P.S.

    The following words describe Mantorok:

    Spitefull, vengefull, manipulative, blackmailing bastard.

  • Dyack noted that there was a 5th somewhere. It's associated with the yellow magick, but there are no hints as to what it is.

And Manty isn't spiteful. He's the only thing that stands between the Eternal Darkness. It's his job to keep things in order.

  • The why was there no mention of this Ancient in tjhe game. Possible Clue to a long distant sequel?

And you're not gonna tell me that Mantroroks entire squeem didn't bring him some personal satisfaction.

  • Because it is not directly involved in the game. It exists in the universe but didn't have a place in the game.

I like Mantorok. He's just doing his job. He's the least evil of all the Ancients.

  • I see, well I hope that they make a sequel...some day.

And Least Evil? Did you not pay attention to the game(Well Life in general), Good and Evil are concepts, mere points of view. Mantorok did not eliminate humans because he was able to find Mutual gain.

  • Good and evil are concepts, but they still exist. To define them as something that doesn't is a fallacy of definition which I avoid.

Mantorok is comparatively less evil, since he was trying to stop the eternal darkness while the others were trying to bring it to pass.

  • Actually you are right, they are hard to define. If it were up to me I would erase those concepts. They are being used by many people to fit their conviniences or simply miss implied.

  • @moseslmpg Pretty ironic, considering that Mantorok is the manifestation of Chaos.

  • @GmodPlusWoW well not even Mantorok wants the complete destruction of sentient life, their can't be chaos without those now can their.

  • @ffinfinity1 Chaos does not necessarily mean 'a world full of trouble'. Ever heard about chaos theory? Look for it, I think that is more likely the kind of chaos the authors had in mind when they created Mantorok.

  • I played through in this Order with this Alignments: Xel, Uly, Chat. And I was very surprised to find that the secret Cutscene was featuring the battles of the Acients in Exactly that order.

  • Lol i want a mantorok bonethief or an horror D:

  • Don't we all...

  • played the game 3 times with all alignments.

chatu'gha' is my fav cause his creatures are made of disgusting muscle looks really great.

  • he is pretty cool

  • Thank you thank you for posting this! I lost my old copy of ED and after my GameCube broke I didn't see a point in hunting it down again. I always wanted to see what happened after beating each alignment. :D Meesa ver' ver' happy!

  • I would like to see Mantorok's Guardians. Prolly weirder than Xel'lotath's.

  • Remember the yellow energies :P It shall need an explanation (altought a lot of ppl thinks about that yellow energy as the one of the god of life and order and stuff)

  • Though, you have to admit, this kind of ending does give a hint at something. Or maybe...the developers are screwing with us and this is another insanity effect. *flash* THIS...ISN'T...HAPPENING!!

  • Too Human looks awesome too and i bet they haven't made a new ED yet because the game is so fucking perfect as it is that they must be afraid of screwing it with crappy continuations :P

  • Haha, it seems you're another addict of this game like me who finished the game with all the three alignments hehe :), its nice to see there are so many people who play this game even 3 years after its releasing...btw, high time silicon made a new Eternal Darkness heh :P

  • Well, Denis has said that he would like to do another game in the ED universe, but as of right now, SK is too busy with Too Human.
