  • This has to be my favorite of your compositions so far. It reminds me of early Schoenberg and the Passacaglia in Britten's "Death in Venice".

  • Hi Austen,

Yes, I had actually forgotten about the Schoenberg connection. Webern's first piece- Opus 1- was a Passacaglia for orchestra. Then there is the "Klangfarben" setting of my theme.

But the kind "neurotic" part that really reminds me of Schoenberg is at 6:14 and esp. 6:33. It just came out that way. The harmonic ideas are closer to Hindemith!

  • I really enjoyed it. Hindemith is a composer we don't hear enough of in England - I love his "Mathis der Maler" Symphony.

  • Thank you, Christo. Music for the 21st century, albeit composed in the 20th. Good music. Like the rhythm.

  • Wow... I had know idea you composed~

I played the French horn for years, along with piano

and such... nothing other than typical.

    This was incredible.

  • Hi, Heidi. Good to see you on here too. Thanks for your kind comments.

  • Wonderful, Christo, both aurally and visually. Love the Modernistic approach to the composition. Emotion fueled melodies and phrasing. Bravo!

  • Thank you, Diesel,
