I think it's the psychology behind not recieving a Rose. Kind of like not being picked for a Volleyball team... I think it's jst the rejection that most people can't handle. Everyone thinks Emily will get Brad... so be glad they left early... rather than get their hearts crushed like Chantel did.
@Sexy44274 I'm a Brad fan, and warmed up to the idea of him picking Chantal O. Not a fan of Chantal O, but definitely not a disliker. Still, the way he dumped her, made me think Brad acted like a jerk (in that situation).

I highly, HIGHLY doubt Brad chose to pick Michelle first. In fact, I very much doubt he has a say in the order at all.
Also I'd actually rather Michelle stay and be entertaining that someone like Ashley S who truly believes they're in with a chance and might be heartbroken further down the road.
