I see Nightwish as being more on the Guns N' Roses and Slash end of the spectrum than Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne tbh, i.e. very unlikely to ever happen again (I believe the same with Dream Theater and Mike Portnoy, the same with Evanescence and Ben Moody). Tbh it doesn't bother me either way.

Annete is ok, maybe they should find a new operatic singer, but not tarja. "true fan" = someone who supports something through highs and lows in their career, not ditching them when ONE member is kicked out.
