  • painful

  • got some distance on that one! LOL

    looked like it hurt tho

  • did that horse have sliding plates on or something? jeezzzz... got some distance didn't he... i'm glad you guys were okay

  • i am so srry about u and ur horse. and i hope he gets better if he can! :)

  • ya horse was off lead and wanted to switch and got all caught up.....sorry he never came back :(

  • @00horsecrazy00 yea i saw that 2.

  • Yes it was good that her foot was not stuck in the stirrup. She was also lucky that she was not kicked in the head.

  • holy crap. thats going speedy fast.

  • The rider was setting up too soon and the horse lost footing and slid.

  • Youch. That was sudden.

  • wooow that could gone alot worse then what it did if wasnt for her foot coming out of the stiirup

  • Damn if she didnt fall she probably could of gotten a fast tume

  • can i use this

  • If you look at the video closely, the horse was slowing down to make the turn, he was just slowing down on his front end and lost his footing. I've seen it happen many times.

  • the horse wasn't going to fast, just shit happens and the horse lost his footing with his front feet, i've seen horses fall going a lot slower and i've seen horses successfully make it around the barrel going as fast or slightly faster... hard to say faster she was booting it :P too bad she fell though :(

  • i think the horse just lost it's footing I've seen horses going that fast before, yet again, all horses are different. I've tried to do barrels on my horse and she's fallen on the last barrel alot cause she looses her balance because she gets to excited.

  • ow! the horse slid for a while! hope ur ok.

  • Oh my, Was she okay ?

  • Could have picked him up(lift inside rein), looked like deep ground and he lost his footing.

  • the reason the horse fell is cause u were going to fast! geez horses cant make tight turns while basically at a gallop! geez! thats why it always happens (most of the time but sometimes dey just trip)

  • No she wasn't going to fast, the horse lost his front feet, GOOD horses go that fast and use the speed to spin and slide around the corner instead of slowing down then having to pick up speed again

  • what so ur saying everybody else's horses suck (which they dont) if they dont do it that way? geez

  • No I am just saying that extremely good horses do it they way aka national champions, etc

  • so did like the horse do something to its toe, or the riders?? ima confused!!

  • oii accidents happen and those horses are bred for that it like the thrill of getting to full speed gallop around an arena and im sure the owner didnt expect for the horse to trip this stuff happens its sad but cant be stopped

  • right toe????

  • I found a western hat helmet in a magazine! It's awesome for western riders!

  • Wow

It turned into a reining horse XD

  • o wow that looked intense...

and it looked like yall slide far before getting up!

  • bet she wishes she was wearing a helmet! TSK TSK!

  • What is that supposed to mean?Who cares if she wasnt wearing a helmet.

  • the fact that she landed on her head and could've crushed her skull more easily is what matters. That's why I frown upon unsafe western riders, as if they couldn't wear a helmet under their "cowboy hats"

  • She didnt land on her head. She landed on her back/side. And who cares if we dont wear helmets. Its not a law, and it doesnt make us any differant than anybody else.

  • well fine, she still could've gotten kicked in the head when her horse fell, or gotten her head stepped on. I'm not against western riding, I just think it's stupid that they don't wear helmets, and that's my opinion, end of story

  • ok, bye : )

  • Tbh, id more more concerned over the welfare of the horse, who could easily have broken its leg or neck, than the rider.

The rider has the choice to perform, the horse doesnt.

  • Obviously it didn't break a leg or it's neck considering it jumped up and galloped off

  • Were you unable to understand where i say it COULD have easily broken its neck or a limb?

  • western riders are sometimes stubburn(gamers ridesr)at the tack shop about 30 mins from my house they make a helmet with a hat buily in so they dont crush their skull but most of them think thier too good 4 that

  • i dont always where helmets when i ride too, but i have to admit. Ive had a few falls where i almost regretted it. And Ive had falls where I thank God I was wearing one. haha. they are a riding nesecity.

  • ouch! talk about riding a torpedo, hope you were ok!

  • ouch, what happened to the rider?

  • thats happend to me a few times...i rather fall like that then actually off. but when your riding a fast horse, it happens. wow you really slid though.

  • The horse was going very fast..so shut up. If you dont ride a barrel horse you dont know. When we have vids of bad runs good runs and fast runs it all looks slow. But you dont know so shut up! Thanks and have a wonderful day!

  • How is that not fast?

  • wen a horse trips the best thing you could do is let go of the reins so they could pick there heads up them selves. nobody is strong enough to pick up a horses head when there falling.and he wasnt goin fast he cross fired.

  • hmmmmm....good start

  • wow.... ouch!!!

  • is the horse ok?

  • Horse and Rider both had a bit of recovery.

  • wow

  • It looks like he tripped or stumbled an it jerked the reins out of her hand. So she couldnt have pulled his head up if she wanted to. But if he wouldnt have lost the reins then she might have been able to pick his head up an he might have not fell.

  • the horse just tripped.

  • The horse was going WAY too fast, and she tried to stop him at the last moment.

  • He wasnt going fast.

  • Obviously you have never ran barrels....the point is to go fast sprints and quick turns. She wasnt trying to "stop" him, just check him and set him up for the turn.....just a freak accident where the horse just tripped. It happens.

  • Well sorry, my trainer has always told me to start off a little bit slower, so the horse can get into it. Geez, people are touchy.

  • I just recently hit the dirt on... or should i say off a horse I hope you're okay and that you got right back on!!!

  • Ya I think he just caught some bad footing at the worst possible time. Was setting up to be a great ride. Nobody was hurt I'm guessing. It didn't look like she was stepped on. I've seen loads worse where they've come out okay. (THEREFORE THE TERM COWBOY UP)

  • Luckly the horse didn't trample her after it got up. But guessing from the horse running off, it is fine and the girl was probably too. Maybe some bruses but I don't think much else happened. It was more of a slide.

Wow is that barrel pattern set far apart. They shouldn't even be that far.

  • It was a standard pattern.

  • @RachieRae241 there are many barrel patterns just depends on the rodeo your at.

  • @RachieRae241 In a big arena that is standard. 25' from the gate to the clock 25' from clock and wall i trhink. the only patterns that dont change in size are Poles and stakes.

  • omg is she okay?

  • omg i r they all okay? i barrel race, and i have never seen a wreck like that b4!

  • Is the horse and the girl OK?

  • Wow, it was just cause he caught his toe? Just the little things that get ya ain't it.
