If you are very cautious with your money you could pirate an older version- But if you choose to do this please buy the game if you enjoy it to support Mojang :D They work very hard and every dollar is a step towards a better minecraft for everyone! @Pedr6500 fallout isnt tht bad! u have a gun and the vats system but all u do is shoot like crazy! elderscrolls is much more cuz you need to get up close! sure you have fireballs etc. and bow and arrows but i was still running, especially dungeons and the traps. as long you dont explore (through my experience) you wont get scared a lot

@draconian99 dunno, but it IS easy to install, iff you just find the sounds you want, they HAVE to be ogg-files:

there is a couple of sound files in:

Appdata:Roaming:.minecraft:res­ources:newsound:mob:

these are the mob sounds that the game's using

rename the sounds that you want to use so that they match the mob's sound-names

this part is critical: before you remove and add new sounds, copy the file so that you can change the sounds to default

add new sounds

If you wanna find monsters press F3 and it will show numbers. Every monster has a number over its head and you can see it through walls and shiz. Also, it helps you find caves cause monsters are generally in caves. :D

BTW some tips:

If you hit the thing which attacks you, it will be knocked back, so you can go against zombies even with your bare hands (but spiders are fast and the archers' arrows knock YOU back)

And you can run in every direction with the same speed, so you don't need to turn around

If you kill a spider, it will drop some strings. with 3 strings and 3 sticks you can make a bow, it is the best weapon in the game
