I actually flagged this video as inappropriate for YouTube, cause his "interpretation" is a big insult to Scriabin's music. Seriously, he's not a religious jew, so where did that interpretation come from? Take care for your children not to see this video.
you know, no one is mentioning the acoustics of this recording are specifically awful (no offense to the poster-thank you for sharing!) with respect to muddy/sustained echo...I promise he didn't have his foot slamming the damper pedal for 4+ measures the way it sounds. Is it an inspired performance? Absolutely not, even for B, but it'd have been a hell of a lot better if it could have been heard properly live.
this guy need to to put more felling into this piece, although he has fairly good technique he needs to be more expressive in performing. i would say it is not the best interpretation that i heard.
Listen to the guy playing Rachmaninov concerto 2 and 3, it's like the heavy metal of the classical music, he wanna eat everyone with his playing , how did they gave him a prize
Too much mechanical, where is the feeling, nuances and robato, listen to V. horowitz version, he's really amazing, it's a modern classical piece but it's not dual fighting with the Piano!!!
@jeanlucchapelon Je suis d accord.
Take some time, man! It seems a bit too rushed to me, there's no savoring the subtle harmonic changes.... Technically tremendous, but musically... not as convincing.
@cryglsn I agree, He is now one of the greatest musicians. Deep, thoughtful. He can play like a God when he praticed. He could become one of the same music scale as Mikhail Pletnev to my mind.
@LordCalvinHastings horowitz is a legend of piano playng he was a mix of tremendous technique and superior musicality , Berezovsky is a great virtuoso, almost like horowitz, but he is not yet a master of musicality, and if he will keep playng like that, he will never reach the musical maturity of people like Lupu or Brendel ...forget about Horowitz, Richter, Michelangeli, Rubinstein, Gilels, Pollini, Berman and so on...
Superbe interprétation ! De la même trempe que Vladimir Horowitz ! Il faudrait que l'immense Boris nous joue aussi la version alternative du chef d'oeuvre de Scriabine qui est tout aussi fabuleuse !
He mistake the last chord, playing an aditional C#...

Je trouve aussi qu'en général il fait de chaque oeuvre un challenge!!
Mais...la Musique n'est pas un concours de vitesse ou de puissance!!
Mème si ,dans ce cas,c'est une oeuvre assez sportive!!!
