Clearly an older women with a younger man. She's a cougar and he's having an affair with her. NO married couple acts like that. She's married too, with a couple of kids. Told her husband she's heading to Pittsburgh to see her sister who's going through difficult times. Gets to the airport and viola.....heads to Norway with her squeeze who she met on a business trip to Philly. He bought the R1200rt as a mid life crisis and is now living the american dream. Rock on Tommy!

There was a much better quality version lasting almost 10 minutes that was hosted on, I believe, the Santa Cruz BMW website a few years ago. I can't find it now but would really like to. Does anybody know where it went? I'd hate to think that BMW pulled it simply because it is pushing an "older" bike.

That was tastefully done. (would you expect any less from BMW?). I have a 2003 K1200GT and this video makes me want to go ride! I would much rather go with a sport tourer than a fast crotch rocket simply because I want to ride long distances in comfort. These bikes are no slouch either in speed so to me they are a jack of all trades. Not a Ducati but fast enough to be a blast!

Hey Monster2802, elaborate a little more on the bike.How is the power on the 1200RT? The video shows some pretty quick curves being taken, is it really that nimble and comfortable while riding at that speeds? 70K miles, thats a lot! Any engine issues during this time?

Looks like an awesome country to tour from the video and comments from you guys. I live in India and tour a lot around India. Unlike Norway, the conditions are lot more difficult here with bad terrain, sometimes bad roads and unpredicatable traffic behavior. Nevertheless, the joy of touring on bikes will remain the same. My dream bike is a BMW 1200GS and slowly loving the K1300R. Long live the spirit of Biking!

Usart....it doesn't matter where you are as long as you are riding a bike...and the bad terrain thing is irrelevant...I know an old man , 76, who has toured the world several times on motorcycle and and I asked him about touring some of the bad areas of South America...I always remember what he told me about touring some of those remote areas..."Good Roads Bad People...Bad Roads Good People:......by the way...India is a beautiful country and is certainly is on my list!!!

It is brilliant to know people like that. That was a nice quote there. Looks like the man has seen the world! What motorcycle was he on? I would agree with you there, I guess the terrain does not matter, as long as you are on a motorcycle :)

Great vid. I commute every day on a '06 1200RT. Bought it brand new in April, '06, and just turned 70k miles on it last week. I'd say it's probably a bit over priced and maintenance costs are a consideration.

But having said that...

I spent 4 months in Norway in 1986 during exercise Brave Lion with NATO. I have never witnessed such an incredibly beautiful country with people who are kind, generous, hospitable, beautiful and heart warming. I also toured all of North America on a Honda Nighthawk 650 in 1987. It was a fantastic and memorable tour.

Now I must buy a BMW and return to Norway............the beautiful woman aspect of the realization of a dream may be a little tougher......roll on Brothers...Roll On!!!!!

I've watched this video about 1000 times; it's my inspiration, for riding, I'm 41 years old and delved into riding on a BMW R1200RT, I've been riding for 6 months now, and absolutely love it. Life on this bike is truly just like the video. To answer an earlier post, the first son is by yo-yo ma, I have the whole album now. The second song must be proprietary and exclusive to BMW, because nothing I've found on the internet has been able to lead me to that song.
