there are good and bad points about everywhere and certain places I definitely wouldn't go to live. Cornwall and Devon are absolute lovely! and there are lots of things to do, it's like the very bottom of England, but its fab. its like more countryside. Norfolk and Suffolk are lovely aswell, and are omly like hour/two hours away from london, certain parts of Essex are but depends where really. if you want more information on the south east part, then I'll always try & give it to you :-)

Come to Cornwall! Haha, i live there; if you like surfing and all that kinda stuff it's great, theres main trains, busses and airplanes that get you literally everywhere. I moved from Maine a few years back and i loved it here straight away, the people are so nice and welcoming and they'd all love your accent haha. Theres a lot of festivals that are easy to play at because they're all pretty hidden and what not but it'd be great to get your name around! EVERYONE JUST COME AND LIVE IN CORNWALL!:)

Contact Glastonbury festival and try and get a booking(isnt happening in 2012 coz of the Olympics) but 2013 , take any time/stage , it is counterintuitive but the worst time slot is often the best , Thursday teatime is great as their is less competition , Seasick steve played Thursday evening in some minor tent and played the Royal Albert Hall 3 months later.

Hi Ally, I can give you lots of useful info about where to look in Bristol (current resident ;). It depends mainly on your budget and what type of area you want to live. Clifton is the more upmarket area but very pricey (comparable with London) but you also have some decent areas not quite as expensive Redlands, Henleaze, Westbury on Trym) Happy to provide more info if you want it, be good and keep making music!

I live in Bristol.. it's basically just your average city. You'll have the rough parts (Knowle, Knowle west, Easton, St.Pauls) and the nice parts (Clifton, Bedminster etc.) :) loads of different type of people live here as well, so making friends will be easy. The only concern is that on a friday and saturday night, you'll see 12 year old girls queuing up for this club wearing nothing but revealing clothes and a shop full of make-up..

I live in Bristol and honestly you can get public transport everywhere in Bristol, even from the quiter areas! Bristol is amazing and there is so much to do here. I live in the North Somerset area and its quite quiet, but then you can do the south gloucestershire area which is a bit more busy and more popular! There are plenty of trainstations and buses that go all around Bristol and out of Bristol so you'd be fine for transport :) xx

yeah so i live in essex its nice hear well in most parts cos you can choose between countree side or urban and when i say that i meen it like recently i move house literly i used to live in like a farming aria then i moved half a mile away and i was in like a complete like urban type deal so if u choose essex i would recomend breintree just cos its nicer and it is not like people describe in essex not every one is orange so yeah good luck :)

Bath is pretty close to Bristol I think, and it's really pretty. It's a city but from what I've seen when I'm there it's not ridiculously busy... But that might just be in comparison to London seeing as I live nearer that and go there more often than Bath, haha. I'm not sure about house prices anywhere but I know the suburbs of London are EXPENSIVE. (I don't think this ramble was very useful but good luck with finding a place!)

Hey, I live in Bristol. I'm not a hundred percent what you are looking for but there are sort of little villages dotted around Bristol (one of which is called Long Ashton) and you can still get buses into the centre and stuff. I live in the east of Bristol but it's not busy here at all if that's what you're scared of :-) I think Bristol is great though they is such a strong diversity of everything here! (though the Bristolian accent isn't great!) xx
