@drjd2real I use T-Nuts for mounting these as for the MX I would by pass them and go for the 2012 XXX's Just make sure the baffle of your enclosure is 1.5 inches thick! 3/4 will NOT hold the weight of these monsters.

Rubbish because 11Hz wouldn’t produce any audio sound at high SPL if does its unnatural because the rest of the tones will be bloody loud. Its infersonic meaning it’s below our hearing range. Its only felt and this video audio is grossly distorting.

And from what i understand, subs that have very stiff cone and very power magnet, is harder to make move, so having more damping factor would make a sub with high resisting would be easily moved, I dont know if that right. But i would love for your input. And wanted to ask what is a good damping factor for most subs.

The Phoenix Gold Ti12d had 38.5 mm, I had a 13Av.2, I was glad to see it go, my Ti12d sounds better and holds more power mechanically than the 13A, but the XXX is still an icon in SQ, spl can be pretty good too though. I'd take it over a W7 anyday.

BTW: the btl is a louder sub on the meter but the xxx will sound louder and have more punch you will feel. The xxx will also sound cleaner than the btl.

If you have lots of money to burn and you want something very loud but you do not want to compete the re audio xxx speaker is one of the best subs you can buy. it has 54mm xmax which is over 4.25" of total excursion. if you want to compete go with something with less excursion that can move a lot faster and build spl at higher frequencys. If they ever make a class in db drag you have to make your run under 30 hz; that sub would be the $&@*.

The re xxx sub hits a low freq very well and will sound louder than most spl subs but will not move an spl meter as much as a dd. If you listen to an spl vehicle with dd and then one with re xxx you would probably think the re xxx was louder but the dd would probably be a lot louder on the spl meter. The lower frequencys sound a lot louder and that sub is a very clean sub.

While the excursion is very impressive, notice that the surround has dimples(deformed areas) when it is pushed that hard. You will not get clean sound when you push a woofer that hard, and you do risk damaging the suspension even if the motor structure can handle it. Great sub, though. Insane power.
