  • This is very discriminatory UT. If you want to help small businesses, you should not limit this to businesses owned by people of a certain race or religion. I should have gone to BGSU!

  • This is just one of the many incubators started by The University of Toledo.

Our Alternative Energy business incubator was recently named a Center of Excellence by Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland.

Among other businesses, the solar company Xunlight was founded out of it. It's now one of the largest solar companies in the nation. Our IT Incubator has fostered interesting start-up tech businesses, as well.

Economic development is a large part of UT's mission, as is embracing diversity.

  • @UToledo good to know that UT sponsored start ups are doing well. Also developing minority businesses is a worthy goal, also awards are fine, but profits are even better.

Even so, you sidestepped fdr8802's complaint. You told fdr8802 that "this is just one of many incubators" --- this sounds a little like "separate but equal"

it is hard to imagine how dividing incubators by race can help you to embrace diversity. i.e. variety; multiformity
