i love that period when the earths atmosphere had so much oxygen, because insects, including my favorite insect the dragonfly, could grow much larger. If i ever get rich, i will get a nice fossil of a 30cm or larger wingspan dragonfly. i have beautiful images of an 11cm wingspan dragonfly sitting on my hand, that was an amazing experience, the largest possible dragonfly in europe on my hand. I was able to take many photos, and uploaded the best ones to wikimedia commons.
@csnowutube alas, Alan "Gish" Gishlick's nickname has long been a source of humorous confusion, in regards to creationist Duane Gish. :) Our Gish notes he has used the nickname since childhood.

I am having a hard time hearing the dialog. It would be awesome if there were captions.

We all know the Grand Canyon was formed in 5 minutes as the flood waters subsided!

@dprjones Exactly, at 3 times the speed of sound. It's common knowledge (on YouTube, anyway!)

Breaking the sound barrier, no less.

I thought perhaps Eugenie ran into Duane on her rafting trip and someone taped the discussion.

My first thought was that Professor Scott was going to review and comment on (old) "Gishs' " arguments. I was surprised, but not disappointed!

Whoaaa, I thought it was going to be Duane Gish discussing geology with Eugenie Scott... That would've been hilarious.
