  • I'm going to be very direct here so don't mistake this for being rude..... How would this help with an issue like a reoccurring watermark that fades in and out.

  • Is this illegal?

  • @Krbydav328 fuck whether it's legal or not we are trying to watch a movie that advertise their shit plenty before and after. to answer your question it is most probably not illegal. i can think of a single reason why getting rid of a watermark is illegal. unless it is a document.

  • all you did was make it so you dont see the watermark because you zoomed in on the video. it isn't gone, its just not in sight. and most people dont want their video to be zoomed in some

  • Or when your using the softwhere which has watermark on it check how long it lasts then put a video or pic the amount of time needed then save the movie then open up WMM then just delete the unwanted part of the video at the start then there you go no watermark.

  • Does this same method work for the Windows 7 version of the program?

  • This is the most overly complicated way of getting rid of watermarks I've ever seen XD. wow.

  • see the worst part is you gave me hope. it didn't work.

  • it didn't work

  • my video is 2:30 hr

  • my windows maker just freezes =( (i really raged)

  • thanks man. It didn't work the first time because the ratio was wrong. But half of it was gone.

  • great tip dude i might try this thanks.

  • Pretty sure you're just cropping the edges of the video :/

  • does this work on windows vista

  • i tried everything you said man ,, and it didnt work,, help,,,

  • dont know if you are aware mate,, but the sound on this is utter shite !!!

  • works thx

  • movie maker in windows 7 is completely different. how do you do this in windows 7?

  • @crazydriver1978 Well, he's on XP and you're talking about Windows LIVE Movie Maker. Live movie maker is the new stripped down version. Try taking alook under Animations tab and look by Pan and zoom

  • I cant import the vide . It says some random thing

  • works okay, but the video quality diminishes quite a bit. any tips for this?

  • Dude,Who broke your nose???!!! You sound crazy!!!!

  • why the hell would adding a two and a half minute black intro make the watermark in the video that comes AFTER the intro disappear?

    please explain

  • @MetallicIL As without this black intro, adding the fade in tool would mean that the watermark would be fully removed at about half way through the clip (as it takes time for it to fade in). By adding this black clip in the ratio stated), you ensure that the watermark is removed for the whole of the clip.

  • You sound like Harry Potter...lol

  • hi WILLIAM. LMAO

  • okay i'm stuck on the part where you put fad in.. and i kept watching this video, i don't see how the water mark is removed

  • @mewchewb If you add the fade in tool just on the clip itself, then the watermark will be removed but ONLY towards the end of the clip (you'll see it slowly fading in and the watermark gradually disappearing). To avoid this phase so that the watermark will get completely gone, add the black sections in the ratio stated, publish that video and then afterwards add the fade in tool on to that video just created which will get th gradual fading in section out of the way for when it gets to the clip.

  • It didn't work.

  • Does this work with BandiCam?

  • @GerassimGanchev1999 I tried it , it doesn't work.

  • So....you just cropped it off....

  • @Zaroon115 No, this is a genuine way to get rid a of watermarks using the 'fade in' feature on windows movie maker.

  • Sorry i cant understand propelly the english so can you write it ? i read bettter

  • im usein a kodak zi6 camera with a 2.0 gb photo memery card and it wont put my videos on windows movie maker can you figure out my problem

  • don't work.... help

  • Why is the background black here?

  • Yo Bro...

i dont have Eaze in effect !! what do i do ???

  • or u cud buy it :p

  • Did not work for me ?????

  • why do all british or english or what ever the hell people who have that accent alwayse deep breathe whenever they make these videos, CALM DOWN NOBODYS GOING TO KILL YOU YOU DONT HAVE TO BE NERVOUSE!! Then again, you may have just finished eating nearly a whole bag of chicken nuggets. But thatnk for the tutorial that didnt work though, much appreciated ;)!

  • i used leawo converter from powerpoint. the file is now avi so when i tried it the screen is just black i cant see my video. My video is 38 seconds long is mt ratio right? I made the black part 1 minute and 35 seconds. Is that right? Please help! I badly need this done. Thanks.

  • @mals30 The new video clip you've made should therefor have 1:30 min black clip and then your 30 sec vid clip, right? now apply the 'ease in' effect onto this new video clip and then press 'save to computer'. Should then hopefully work.

  • will it get rid of avs waternmark?

  • help me how do i do this on windows 7 i dont have the ease in transition ?:( so i cant do it ?

  • Do the same requirments aply to the newer version?

  • omg i can't here you

  • Hi, I tried this, and it only removed a part of the water mark, how do i remove all of it? Id really apreciate some help, THANK YOU!

  • @VAHzanessalover If it's only removed half of it, double the length of the black strip in front of the movie clip.

  • @engandautclan my video is only 3 mins and 40 seconds long, at first i made it so the black screen was 12 minutes long, but that didnt work, so i slowly added more and more time on to it, but that still didnt work! ive added 20 minutes of black screen and it still wont work! the same amount of watermark gets removed each time, and thats only half

  • pls help how o remove water mark

  • nvm i got it nevermind lol i fucked up my bad

  • How do I add this to anothe project the clip without the watermark... Whenever I try the watermark reappears as if the EASE in effect did not work, or it reset back to its normal stage..

  • Hi, silly question. I'm new to WMM but have a ton of videos for youtube that I need to upload because of an annoying watermark. How can you tell how long the video is? And how do you calculate you ratio? I tried to follow your tutorial but ended up with almost 20 clips after I imported the video the first time. Please help!

  • @RawGlam Sounds to me as if you have auto-cut enabled; when you import the video in the browser, there should be a checkbox stating 'automatically cut video' or something like that. Make sure that box is unchecked.

  • THANK. YOU

  • thank u soo muchh

  • err what?

  • Yea. Problem. my watermark is smack bang in the middle of my video. Takes up most of it actually. Have any way of solving that?

  • Do you know how you would do that on mac?

  • nerd

  • @ericstar1000 lmao i thought the exact same thing

  • @ericstar1000 dren

  • are you at school?

  • It looked like you were gonna name it Hoe or Hooker but I haven't slept in a while XD My watermark thing is in the very middle of it, so can you get rid of it that way or is there another ripper I can use? *you sound british :)*

  • @WeaknessToAbuse Haha! thx xD the method only works if u hav a watermark on the side tho :/

  • @engandautclan Yeah I got a different one, it says theres one but nothing is there XD

  • Sorry, but I can't understand the logic behind what you have done.

You added 2 minutes of black, zoomed in, then deleted the black, and the watermark was gone. That doesn't make sense.

  • @TarousDT Well basically, u add the black at the beginning so that wen u zoom in, the zoom has enough time to get to the point at which the the watermark is no longer visible. If u hav a bigger watermark (like gamecam for example) u'll need a longer section of black cos u'll need to zoom in further to get rid of it.

  • Only some of the watermarks are disappearing, i can't seem to get rid of them completely, and I'm pretty sure I did the ratio right and everything. Please help?

  • What if you can still see about half of the watermark after one fade in? I tried putting to on it but that seemed to just make the entire film black.

  • thanks for your reply.but i found another solution.

  • @vinubharani wats ur solution

  • when i import it again...it splits as black and video clip.any idea why it happens?

  • hello ..when i import the video for the second time ,it splits:(.the black and the video are in two bits).am clueless.any idea why it happens?

  • @vinubharani ah, i've had this before; when importing the video, you need to untick a box in the bottom left hand corner (or something like that) of the window which says "Split Video".

  • thanks it worked

  • I worked out the maths for the 2.5:1 ratio

    (Time Of Movie) x (1.5) = (X)

    (Time Of Movie) + (X) = (Y)

Bit of algebra but its pretty simple.

  • @Gimpasaur Yep ;).

  • british!

  • whats the ratio of 1.5 or whatever you said to 1minute 55seconds... ?

(im not good at maths :'()

  • Every person that does tutorials seem to be british :o

  • @Masked020 lol xD.

  • @engandautclan Lol i guess british are smart thats why

  • @Masked020 im asian

  • @Masked020 brits need more artilery

  • @Masked020 brits need more artillery

  • i dont know how to how long to make my black background...

  • i'm using avs4you video editor and it creates this watermark for the first minute and random times throughout a video...would this method work to get rid of this watermark?

  • @takavor18 Probably not, this only works if the watermark is already on the video, not if the video editor then adds another one.

  • @takavor18 I have the same problem, anybody know of anything free that will remove it?

  • This is an interesting idea. Not the easiest to execute. I tried once and there was part of the watermark jutting out. Probably because i didnt make the black EXACTLY 2.5 longer than the original video. Not an easy thing to align

  • Wow this worked great! I was worried it wasn't going to work...

Just wondering, what exactly does the black screen do? And what is the significance of the 2.5:1 ratio? Also, if putting the "ease in" effect doesn't get rid of the mark fully, how do you zoom in further? Thanks!

  • @klondike321 To zoom further, try to make the black before the video longer (should only really be needed with larger watermarks).

  • what's watermark? noob here

  • does it work for movie maker 2

  • @ahassan019

    It should do.

  • nevermind it dident work.......  ={

  • I can garuantee this does work IF you make sure you do everything exactly as said in the video.

  • this did not work for me because my version of windows movie maker always breaks each movie into clips about 30 seconds long. and i don't know how to get it to stop doing that. any suggestions???

  • When importing the video clip, there should be a little checkboz on the bottom right or left giving the option whether to break the clip into sections. If u see it, uncheck the box.

  • oooooh.... well. don't i feel dumb! lol. ok i'll try this watermark removing thing now and let you know if it works. thanks!

  • still didn't work. but it may be because the vid is three minutes, thirty nine seconds, and thirty seven hundredths of a second long.... getting the ratio exactly right requires mathematical skills that i severely lack.

  • im using avs video converter so the waternark is in the middle how do i get rid of that?

  • getting rid of avs converter watermark is simple use this key 960e0ecf-8eb8377e-a169160a-82150e68-cea0bd22-b62023cd-8e91fcbc-f9ab362e-dac9a47f-85141d09-719aa63f-65762ad6-ed2c2660-e5f845db-21c4efda-3bde29dc

  • thanks but i dont use avs video converter anymore

  • just do yer own vid do not try to remove someone else work do not remove watermark

  • @katrachovago

the video software he used to record the video put a watermark on it because it wasn't a full version.

he did his own video, he didnt remove their work, stop trolling >.>

everyone neg rep his comment to make sure he learns to actually pay attention to the video

  • didnt work tried. I used AVS to convert a video and it put a watermark and idk how to get rid of it!?

  • wtf u British faggot

  • rofl, im austrian, not british.

  • @engandautclan jk bro

  • computah , watah .thanks anyway

  • there is way easier way to do this

  • Thanks man, works great!

  • Great tut! 5/5!!!

  • How do you take off the "black" thing at all???

  • There is no way to remove the watermarks, especially with Windows Movie Maker.

Buy the Fraps, it's cheap :d

  • Help! I tried several times, and could be the ratio I'm doing wrong. The wmv file is 16.33 in length, so how much "black" should there be? It could be text and not a watermark. It's a website address that shows up on the video throughout. If it is a "title" and not a watermark, is there any way to remove it?

  • Where on the video display is it located?

  • ok i combined the clips with the 2:30 of blk and put ease in and i still see the watermark on my video

  • make sure u click save to computer and then delete what's in the timeline - then re-open wmm, import the clip u just made and THEN add the fade in.

    Hope this helps.

  • ummm why didnt u show the watermark of the video?...how do u know that it was there in the 1st place...reply plz

  • If u want to see the original video with the watermarks, then you can find it on my uploaded videos. You'll see the Fraps watermark at the top of the video.

  • Just convert it

  • @jgrosse5554 how?

  • @sesestro

I was replying to a comment from mrmelinda12345 that said he couldnt import .mp4 into movie maker. I just told him that he should convert the .mp4 to .avi.

  • @jgrosse5554 thanks so that's how :)

  • @jgrosse5554 HOW

  • @jgrosse5554 convert it to what

  • @jgrosse5554

    What's that going to help??!

you'll have a different file but still the watermark on it, use photoshop

  • @jgrosse5554 convert it to what?

  • thx so much! it really helped

  • hmm

will it work if the water mark is in the middle of the screen?

  • afraid not :/.

  • I have no idea how I came to think this but something tells me your british

  • No, really!?

  • Really!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • Oh i was being sarcastic :/

  • me to lol

  • öypn windövs myvimeikhö?

  • how come it doesnt work for me?

i tried it but when i played it it was just the black screen for a minutes and the same video with the same watermark :(

  • it seems like uve missed out the final two stages: put that clip back into WMM and put the fade in effect on - save that as WMV and then place that in as well - finally cut away the black and it should be done.

  • thx

  • What the hell was the point in the title at the start? Wouldn't it work without it? I don't get it.

  • will this work if you use avs video editor

  • if it has a zoom in tool then i'm sure it will. if it's an advanced editor, try covering the watermark with something, eg. your own watermark.

  • Lol nice job...sound was so funny

  • my watermark is at the bottom of the vid. in a big banner. will this still work?

  • Yeah it should work, make sure that if the watermark is quite big, then make the black clip before it longer to get rid of it all.

  • it wont let me import the vid back again. annoying. i hate watermarks.

  • have you ever tried combining the clips together? that would save you 2 minutes of your life, lol.

  • Wauuuuuter Maaaurrrkkk Videeeooou

  • Just fab well done' you can always rely on a British BrainBox to come up with a solution!! All the Best Rosie

  • what wmm you have?

  • The Version for XP.

  • u sound like him tanwa from eastenders LOL

  • I don't watch eastenders so I wouldn't know xD

  • ooo Lol but u actually sound like him LOL

  • nothing like tanya

  • This is really an awesome tutorial! i was just stopped really at the end cause i dont get the name of the effect i have to use for zoom??!! =/ i'm spanish so i didnt get the name cause my eng sucks XD

  • The effect name is 'Ease In' in the English Version.

  • yeah u helped but its in the centre so i guess not do u kknow of any software i can use without putting watermark on?

that i can put dvds on my ipod with???

  • dont know exactly what you mean there, bbut if the watermark is already in the centre of the vid, then you cant remove it, but if you downloaded a vid from something like youtube, you'd just need a certain software which doesn't print watermarks.

  • does this work for ipod movies i ripp with watermark on?

  • That depends on where the watermark is. If it is somewhere on the edge of the video, then yes. I it is in the centre of the video, then no. Hope this helps!

  • Be careful. Istock is cracking down.

  • nice

  • well, unless the watermark is in the middle lol

  • nice fsx!

  • Thanks for this :P

  • SO if you put a vid on youtube that you did that to the viewer has to wait all that time while the black slide eases in???

  • No, Once you've save that video, you open WMM again and cut that down so you dont have to wait. Once that's done, save that to computer aswell.

  • It works great, but compiling videos over and over again degrades the quality. But its a nice way to get rid of the watermark. Good job
