@dangerouslytalented If anything, deregulation will help create jobs. The federal government is using the tax codes to 'punish those evil corporations' and how do you think they deal with that? One of two ways: they either pass the cost on to the consumer by raising their product prices, or (this is more common with the government setting the wages) they fire employees to make up for it. None of those things help the economy.
@dunkelfier Actually, that is not happening. They are not punishing evil corporations, they are trying to promote good corporate behavior and negate bad corporate behavior. The corporations have been trying to squeeze the most out of the prices anyway, sacking people, cutting salaries and wages and all that stuff, WITH or WITHOUT the impetus of higher taxes or wages. It makes no difference at all to them.

The corporations are the ones creating jobs, and there are many out there that do treat their employees fairly. Nobody is forcing someone to work for a bad corporation.

One of two ways: they either pass the cost on to the consumer by raising their product prices, or (this is more common with the government setting the wages) they fire employees to make up for it. None of those things help the economy.

The corporations have been trying to squeeze the most out of the prices anyway, sacking people, cutting salaries and wages and all that stuff, WITH or WITHOUT the impetus of higher taxes or wages. It makes no difference at all to them.

They tell stories and laugh about the "nest" at work where guys go to sleep off their hangovers. This summer many UAW employees were caught going out and getting high on break.
I buy American because it helps the local economy - kills me bcuz I know a lot of UAW guys who are bums.
