  • i need to move to usa. if only for the landscape!

great vid again Greg, thanks for making informative & GOOD videos!

  • think you over did the first one :/

  • @MrFallingturd To each his own...

  • Is this an HDR Image?

  • @BradleyNilsen Nope.

  • Man your black and white!!!!! :D

  • you should have used B&W in the first pic

  • @felipe200794 Its all a matter of taste. I prefer color for that image.

  • hey mate awesum tutorial. Please keep posting light room tutorials. Love your work.

  • Greg This has been one of your most informative and helpful tutorials. Keep em coming, and thanks so much.

  • It's good, but it's ALOT, I guess it's all preference though. I would prefer something natural.

  • Great lightroom tutorial video Greg. Not meant as a criticism but I do notice photographers from different countries have very dfferent tastes as to what is considered natural looking. To my British eyes your colour image looks heavily oversaturated and almost like a cartoon or painting. The sky in particular looks unnaturally blue.. Did you use a polarizer ?

  • @Gordonafloat No filters. To each his own...

  • Keep it up man!

  • Great job!

  • i freaking love the black and white image!

  • Great tips once again. Since viewing your histogram tutorial, I'm now trying to train myself to look at that first so I at least know where to begin "pushing the data". I love tutorials that build upon or relate to one another and yours seem to accomplish that so well. Thank you!

  • Where is the resolution on your desktop? At first I thought you Where using a low resolution monitor. I want to see every thing so don't "Crop" your desktop.

  • @lenoat702 huh?

  • @gregorycazillo I want to see the whole screen, we only see lightroom. you can include the start bar too.

basically when you do screen cast record your whole screen not just the current window.

  • @lenoat702 Why would I do that? Who cares what's in my taskbar? Only seeing LR is intentional, no need to see anything else. The video is about editing in LR, not whats on my computer.

  • @gregorycazillo It just does not look right. just saying

  • @lenoat702 Oh, I've seen this many times never thought it looked odd at all.

  • @gregorycazillo maybe its just me. It looks like that your monitor is running at the wrong resolution.

  • @gregorycazillo @lenoat702 is an idiot

  • You can click O key, for overlay. :)

  • I have no idea what happened between you n Jared... But I obviously heard of you through FroKnowsPhoto... I must say tho, I have always preferred your stuff, I feel like you "know photo's" whereas Jared is a freestyler...

Only just realised you have your own channel! So good stuff!

  • White line is what I meant.

  • One more thing, what would you do in photoshop to fix the white light at the mountain edge? Thanks

  • @Uscbryan949 clone it out

  • Great work Greg. Do you always use Lightroom for you black and white? Do you ever use Silver Efex? Thanks again.

  • @Uscbryan949 never used it

  • Did you use polarizing filter to shoot first image?

  • @aizhol no filters.

  • WoW Greg your editing is wayyy better than your "BF" lol

  • Hi Greg, Have you ever used ND Grads for landscape photos? I'm slowly building my panorama arsenal and the last two time I've gone out to the mountains, I ended up with overexposed skies when the foreground is well exposed. I've read that an ND grad is just what I need, but I was wondering if you had any tips.

  • @psesinkclee not yet, hopefully in the near future though.

  • Greg love your video, but it would be nice to able to see more clarity on the video. We would appreciate the image more!

  • Thanks Greg. Another great tutorial vid. Thank you!

  • Finally. A useful video.

  • @jch4xer whats wrong with my other videos? wtf?

  • Could you get a really nice dark hdr lookin sky with that hsr color picker thing?

    Nice vid

    Kind regards

  • @hikinguphigh not sure what you mean, i showed you how i use it to enhance the sky or a single color in an image.

  • @gregorycazillo yh but you darkend the colour of the sky at one point could i do that to get a really dark cloudy stormy looking sky

    kind regards

  • Thanks Greg! This really gives me some ideas how to edit my photos now.. Thanks!

  • i love your videos! keep it up!

  • @ErnieCosmo If I would have exposed properly both images would have been identical. Since one was a stop more than the other, you see what the end result was. To me that image is overexposed, not enough data in the darks like the first.

  • Great video. But one has to be careful with adjusting the HSL and BW values too much. The mountain to the right in the second pic has this bright edge to it, where it meets the sky. It could be natural, but I reckon it's from the editing.

  • @JanErikEdvartsen I agree! I wanted to mention it but neglected to. In a final edit I would probably remove the white line in Photoshop.

  • @gregorycazillo OK cool :) Still it's very very minor. That picture is very very cool. Normally I find these types of pictures somewhat boring, but that one is just in another league :)

  • Greg, you rock!

  • @gregorycazillo damn dude you are the man! is there any way of getting the edited pic of the road and the mountain so i could use it as a wallpaper? i saw that the file was not available for download on flickr so maby you dont want ppl to download it? :)

  • I liked the sky at 3:47 when it went light.

If its too blue it seems like a set to me.

  • Saw the photo at flickr, will be awesome to see the workflow now!

  • @johanneswingerlang Do you mean my whole workflow? I'll put it on the list.

  • Tyvm

  • @bayareajustin I must be getting old, had to Google that one...LOL.

  • @gregorycazillo All good Mr. Cazillo. I appreciate your effort into making this informative video. I favorited it for future reference!

  • @gregorycazillo

Hi Greg, Thanks for the great vid's, have a question for you,

do you shoot in sRGB or aRGB? My camera is a Nikon D700..

  • @dukoduli color profile choice doesn't matter when you shoot RAW. I prefer to leave it on sRGB so my filenames are dsc_0000.nef instead of _dsc0000.nef.

  • Glad to see you doing vids like this again.

  • Nice one! Thanks Greg! =)

  • Wow, I've been using Lightroom for awhile and this taught me things I didn't know you could do. D:

  • @Wes2299 Glad it helped!

  • can't wait to see "D4" up in the info bar^^ cool vid

  • @bassmanTV Me neither!

  • Greg, your generosity in teaching and sharing the knowledge is just inspiring!! :)
