Dime clearly had a bit of a thing for that kind of stuff, like giving himself nicknames (at first he called himself diamond darrel, then after an image change moved to dimebag) and a really over the top imagine (previously with big permed hair, eyeliner, very tight pants etc, then dying his beard red and pretty much always wearing the same clothing on

whilst playing some pantera music I find that alot of dimebag's stuff is incredibly simple if you know your basic scales. but that to me is alot more important cuz he's taking scales that people don't like (pentatonic!wooo) and making it sound completely unusual! i find that much more creative/intelligent than using really complicated scales and just playing like a clock in fast forward. you could know one chord but if you can use that chord completely different than the regular guy YOU WIN!
