I find melee better than brawl. Mostly because they fucked up ganondorf my best character in melee. He went from one of the best characters in melee to one of the worst characters in brawl. They really fucked him up, like horribly.
i played the original when i was 7 and i played melee when i was 10 and i was like :THIS IS SO EPIC" and now i play brawl while i am 15 and im just like "well this was a let-down" now im just waiting for the new one
I played Brawl for about 20 mins, then put it down and had no desire to play again. This is after I logged 600 hours of pure love into Melee. The controls were just completely f'ed over, and in general the gameplay itself felt dumbed down. Am hoping that Melee makes a return in some form. That game was fighting *perfection*
@Amenomibashira Don't hope too much for the technic side. The producter said he was never going to make a game so technic like melee because it's too much work. He suffered to trying to balancing it. Balancing a game is one of the hardest things to do in a game.

They totally slowed the game down, tinkered too much with characters, made some characters final smashes totally ridiculous *ahemSonicahem* so I totally had to rule them out of matches, but it's whatever...
Melee is better than Brawl case closed.. I won a couple of tournaments in brawl back in 2008-2009 then after I lost my 6th or 7th tournament I think i was just tired of playing Meta-Knights and Snakes and it wasn't just that even playing locally with my friends after a while Brawl was just boring and well we all know about the unplayable online soo yeah

@mario2980 i agree. i remembered having no problems with a lvl 9 cpu in melee. after months of brawl i went back to melee and? no chance! he destroyed me like he was on drugs.
Evil luigi kicks mario off the cliff, then the slow part of the music plays then he realizes that mario is his brother and remembers all the good times with him, then gets a cape feather out to fly at him to rescue him, then they hug eachother and the music ends. :3
Now , Think about SSB 4. How would it be like? Will your favorite charactars come back? Will your favorites leave? Will you get a slice OF PIZZA DURING A WI-FI MATCH WHILE THEY KEEP SANDBAGGING YOU? We will find out in 2012 ._.
Don't get me wrong, Brawl is cool. It has awesome stages, graphics, and is filled with cool little gimmicks and things like that. But I just don't like the way it plays, the feel is really different than how it is in melee and its just not the same.

Overall I love both these games, and never regretting buying either of them.
@JesterDon I think I know where you are comming from. I agree with you, especially about not liking how brawl feels/plays. I don't know about you, but for me its that Brawl's gameplay is too slow for me. In brawl it feels like I'm fighting underwater or out in space. Also the projectiles go slow as hell. What made Melee so great and fun (IMO) was its gameplay (especially with friends) because it was so fast paced. Me and my friends had A LOT of funny moments with melee.
@JesterDon Such as while fighting like all 4 of us so close to gether fighting for some odd reason one of us would slide off the stage and die lol. We got a lot of laughs from that game with wierd stuff that happend to us while fighting because of how awesome and fast paced the gameplay was.
@Thehunterpwn They completely ruined Samus all the way through with making her so damn floaty and slow, and she was always my main for both other games.

@dbzgal18 I liked Brawl better. And no, its not cuz of the graphics, it had more characters, stages and content to unlock, had Final Smahses and Assist Trophies. The characters may be extremely easy to unlock in Brawl, but some in Melee are just too hard and a waste of time (like Mewtwo.)
@JrGamer27 I would have liked brawl more if it didn't feel so damn slow. Seriously, brawl and melee feel way too different. The one thing that kept me on brawl was diddy because he's my favorite character lol.
@dbzgal18 Snake was actually supposed to be in Melee, but his creator asked it when the game was too late in developement. And Sonic was one of the most requested characters. And just because a game has 3rd party characters in it doesn't mean it sucks :/.

@SparkSSBM i have...no idea what the fuck you said, but i'm guessing you believe that melee is better than brawl! Well, some characters are, but the gameplay kicks ass, and the modes and music in brawl are so much better. The stages are better, they have 3 taunts, and assist trophies, plus sonic and solid snake, and i've never really seen a combo user, mainly just spammers.
How could such a good game be made almost entirely of accidentally discovered techniques? How did they make a game where all these things about the physics of the game made it a game where you could play in an entire spectrum from noobish, spamming B and rolling, to pro, spacing with short hops, faking SHLs, wavedashing to dodge and immediately tipper F-smashing?

This song came into my head unprovoked this morning, and has not stopped playing.

Definitely the best Smash Bros game. It took a good formula and perfected it. I played Brawl for a bit, but I dunno, I just couldn't get into it, felt too slow...Then again I always played Shiek on Melee, so I guess that's expected. =/
i agree below i play with the classic controller (the wii mote that looks like a game cube controller) and i have tons of fun and win all the time, and i play level 9s. You dont have to use the wii mote but i personaly think that melee has a better final destination theme.

no one said you had to use the Wiimote, and Brawl is better than Melee. Melee doesnt take skill at all. Just throw them of the stage and then grab the ledge. Oh yeah, and abuse glitches.
@FreakofGalaxyandBK noob melee is better, when you hit, you FEEL THE POWA, but in brawl its less fun to control, its less smooth and you can do less "infinite combo" (thats how i call it when your opponent get stuck in my attacks lol). and you hit less then in melee, it was just better in melee. i also hate when you fall on your ass for no reason and that makes you miss an attack.anyways, musics, stages better in melee except for some good stages of brawl. melee also introduced great characters.
@startmirca In brawl,its less intense,less combos and less of everything in general except graphics which i don't really care about. Melee has more combos and WAY FASTER than Brawl. I like both games but I'd pick Melee over Brawl any day.

How could such a good game be made almost entirely of accidentally discovered techniques? How did they make a game where all these things about the physics of the game made it a game where you could play in an entire spectrum from noobish, spamming B and rolling, to pro, spacing with short hops, faking SHLs, wavedashing to dodge and immediately tipper F-smashing?

@Halyska to transform a youtube video into an MP3 here what to do : copy the URL of the youtube video, then go on this website : vidtomp3 (dot) com. Then, paste the URL where they ask you to, then click on "convert to MP3", dont forget to choose "high quality", not "low quality". then just follow the steps then download the MP3 and thats it. If you want that smash bros song thats the best way to get it :P

Definitely the best Smash Bros game. It took a good formula and perfected it. I played Brawl for a bit, but I dunno, I just couldn't get into it, felt too slow...Then again I always played Shiek on Melee, so I guess that's expected. =/

i agree below i play with the classic controller (the wii mote that looks like a game cube controller) and i have tons of fun and win all the time, and i play level 9s. You dont have to use the wii mote but i personaly think that melee has a better final destination theme.

melee is masterpiece, brawl is a piece of shit for noobs, wiimote seriouslly??? and in brawl the combos are shit and no wavedashing while melee has great juggle combos and wavedashing and epic stages like this and music melee has 100% nostolgia while brawl wont

no one said you had to use the Wiimote, and Brawl is better than Melee. Melee doesnt take skill at all. Just throw them of the stage and then grab the ledge. Oh yeah, and abuse glitches.

Melee's other glitches are relatively minor. Nothing nearly as abusable as the Triple Jump Glitch in Brawl comes to mind.

@FreakofGalaxyandBK noob melee is better, when you hit, you FEEL THE POWA, but in brawl its less fun to control, its less smooth and you can do less "infinite combo" (thats how i call it when your opponent get stuck in my attacks lol). and you hit less then in melee, it was just better in melee. i also hate when you fall on your ass for no reason and that makes you miss an attack.anyways, musics, stages better in melee except for some good stages of brawl. melee also introduced great characters.

Let's see , Less clones , half of Melee's roster were clones .
Different Adventure mode , it isnt Melee's Adventure mode which was like Classic mode with few additions .
No more hopeless characters like Pichu . Brought back character entrances from the original .
Better FD theme , this one sucks , just gets boring and repetitive .
I still think the original is the best Smash bros game .
64 > Brawl > Melee

@startmirca In brawl,its less intense,less combos and less of everything in general except graphics which i don't really care about. Melee has more combos and WAY FASTER than Brawl. I like both games but I'd pick Melee over Brawl any day.
