I took Paxil for a short while...It took me a year to get off of it. I felt so angry and crazy at the end. It was HORRIBLE ....I would recommend not taking it , unless you are severely bi-polar or not functioning. I take anti depressants as well, but I am not a violent person. I did have violent thoughts while on them, but I think being anti violence was beneficial, and allowed me to stay in control.

I've been saying this for 14 years. My father-in-law went into a mild depression following open heart surgery. It was so much easier for doctors to prescribe Prozac than deal with the real problem. He went into two weeks of severe depression. I was four months pregnant when I found his body hanging from the bathroom door. Looking into his eyes that morning was like looking at a soulless person. When they found the gun that was always unloaded, they found two bullets in the chamber.
My point was that many people are severely affected by these medications & it doesn't take weeks to have these severe reactions. The difference in my father-in-law was almost immediate. The doctors said the Prozac would take awhile to do anything & to ignore the reports about wackos going on shooting sprees. I saw this first hand but I didn't have enough information to know what was happening. My father-in-law worked w/ burn victims for decades. He wasn't even a shadow of himself on Prozac.
People have to learn early to get in touch with their emotions and be able to express them. That's the problem in the USA, I find: Anyone who is angry, sad, down, frustrated, hell, even happy, gets either some silly religion shoved at them or pills. Or they take drugs. And then there is TV, 24 hours of trash. gives one the shivers.

when I was first put on prozac I wasn't told what it was for or y I had to take it. Finaly one day I went on the internet and found out that what my doc said was a bunch of bs. Now I am very dependant on my prozac though I have lowerd my dosage. I sugest no one under 18 to even think about taking antidapresents unless bipoler or proven to be psycontic.

I've been saying this for 14 years. My father-in-law went into a mild depression following open heart surgery. It was so much easier for doctors to prescribe Prozac than deal with the real problem. He went into two weeks of severe depression. I was four months pregnant when I found his body hanging from the bathroom door. Looking into his eyes that morning was like looking at a soulless person. When they found the gun that was always unloaded, they found two bullets in the chamber.

My point was that many people are severely affected by these medications & it doesn't take weeks to have these severe reactions. The difference in my father-in-law was almost immediate. The doctors said the Prozac would take awhile to do anything & to ignore the reports about wackos going on shooting sprees. I saw this first hand but I didn't have enough information to know what was happening. My father-in-law worked w/ burn victims for decades. He wasn't even a shadow of himself on Prozac.

when I was first put on prozac I wasn't told what it was for or y I had to take it. Finaly one day I went on the internet and found out that what my doc said was a bunch of bs. Now I am very dependant on my prozac though I have lowerd my dosage. I sugest no one under 18 to even think about taking antidapresents unless bipoler or proven to be psycontic.

However, in order to get pharmceutical drugs in America, you need to go through a doctor that prescribes them...unlike in other countries, where the drug store is open to everyone and you don't need to see a doctor to get them. It is quite different here and terrorists will pay for their crimes.

Though school was very difficult-I never quit; because I always knew there was something better. I never wanted to kill anyone either and I'm also a gamer with 20 years+
