Decades ago, LC performed on Austin City Limits. This was one of the songs he did on that program. It was the best version of this I've ever heard. Partly due to the trumpet solo at the end. If I could buy a DVD of that program, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I love Cohen, I bought a couple of books in 1968 or 9 as I was traveling across Canada with nothing but a small tent, and two dogs I bought 2 books of poetry one was his and now 40 years later I still get chills down my spine when I listen to him. When we lived in Germany a family friend went to school with his daughter in France and she obtained a pre-release tape of what was then his current album it was amazing.
