EVERYONE knows that if you don't work hard and hustle back, regardless of offensive ability, you will get yelled at on the bench and possibly benched. if teh forwards did not go back to help the defense, or catch the trailers, there would be a 5-on-2 going the other way EVERY RUSH. These guys don't get paid millions of dollars a year to slack off in one of the most key components of the game. Kind of like how defensive forwards are expected to produce offense aswell.
