I don't understand why so many americans are doing this " food storage" thing, I agree it's kinda good idea to have things ahead ( just in case) but I think it would be better if people just planted a garden, if you could,However, this is a great idea everything in one bucket wow.could someone explain, is this that people think their economy is going to collapse, if that is the case why would you not just move
you are right, I do not understand what exactly are you trying to survive?Armageddon, locust ,WW III,evaporation of Walmart??? What is it, man?Tell me so I can save my ass from unknown. What can possibly cause mass starvation in US?
@simone13ish Your ignorance is such that no explanation to you is warranted. Storing food is about far more than the end of the world, it is about insuring one of your most basic needs, the need to have food. I also do not suffer fools or waste time arguing with idiots so your comments are not longer permitted on my channel. Helping people prepare is my life's work, it is my profession. I don't have time to cast pearls among swine, some smart guy with long hair and a beard gave that advice ;>)
now you have two options: one is to eat all that crap for another 10 years, two- donate it to a food bank so it will not get wasted...have some common sense, stop this paranoia, what is wrong with you people????
@simone13ish - You clearly are a moron as you spend your time watching videos you clearly disagree with just so you can bitch about something you clearly have no understanding of. I also have far more than two choices, it is all food we eat every day, that is the entire point, fucktard. LOL
WOW! $5.40 for that oatmeal??? Thats A LOT MORE than where I live. And its A crazy amount more than the genric version. Question: Since you are storing away so much, why dont you use genrics to save money? Just curious. Thx!
are you concerned about light geting into the vacum bags since there not mylar?just looking into info before doing my preps,i definatley like the idea of a variety of foods in each bucket instead of just 30 pounds of 1 thing.that would mean you would have to pen 5 huge buckets to get 5 dif things and expose them to the elements.any info helps.also i never see anyone storing sugar.
@18wheeler76 - I got into some camera difficulties so this didn't get finished, but in the end you put all the other stuff into one big mylar bag inside the bucket, toss in a few O2 absorbers say 2-3 of them at say 300-500 in size seal the mylar with an iron and then seal the buckets. I ended up just doing it and getting the stuff stored at the BOL. The series includes all the food in the two buckets along with nutritional info on them. I really need to do a series now on bins that go with them.
bisquik will not store for much longer than a year, its better to store the original ingredients-flour, baking soda, bakkng powder etc and make your own biscuits and pancakes, once those ingredients are put together they will NOT keep.
this is 2.5 stars because it could have been better planned. having repeated overruns and part B videos shows this.
there is a lot of redundancy about the properties of canned goods, basics on fat/carbs/protein and such things. vacuum packing is better with smaller portions because you will end up with a lot of open bags if they are all bulk-sized.
I suggest comparing other presenters and finding one who lays out the basics in an organized manner BEFORE jumping into the bagging.
@simeaux Your entitled to your opinion. One thing you need to realize is I am doing this project EXACTLY the way I was asked to by many of the 10,000 people a day that listen to my show.
Part two was not due to my lack of being prepared, it was in response to arm chair ass cracks that mouth off in comments but don't actually listen to the video and insist on making statements that are not true.
It may be "redundant" to you, but some of us are beginners with prepping and need the kind of basic info he's giving out here. There's a lot to get your head round when you're just starting out and it really helps when someone draws your attention to different factors that you need to consider.
I've been highly disappointed with storing any type of Bisquick mixture - it only lasts a year and a half even with vacuum packing before becoming rancid tasting in my testing (since Y2k). It may become flat and if so, store some baking soda to liven it up.
Shiner Wheat Beer. Really I didn't enjoy it much. I like a lot of Shiner beers but not this one. Tastes like home brew that went a bit wrong and got a bit of wild stuff in it.

@IdahoHSmom - Because I like Quaker Oats. I store what I like, what I eat all the time.

Suggestion to save space: Orzo instead of elbow macaroni. Same nutritional profile, but no wasted air space. ;o)
Love these vids! Thanks very much.
