It reminds me of the MCIS theme in the sense that, you could play songs like 'by starlight' , 'beautiful' , 'farewell and goodnight', and the chords and melodies from those songs all seemed to magically intermingle with the main theme at the begining of the album.

A good example of this for the teargarden theme is around 1:05-1:35, If you start to hum along the lyrics from widow wake my mind "shine, we'll shine, widow wake my mind". idk, i just hear widow at that part in the theme :)

I actually don't know which one I like better. I kinda think more emotion is expressed in the slower one, due to it's long, drawn-out notes. However, it's lack of speed sort of makes it sound musically basic, like Billy was making it up as he goes along.

This obviously paints a different picture, but I think some of the heart of the song I've known is lost. Or maybe I'm looking too much into this and looking like a douche.
