I have a hat that I got at the first Jamaican excursion. I returned in 2005 and had the Band sign it. It has Richies signiture on it. Now, it is one of my prized posessions. I followed Shauna posts until we lost Richie. I even got to golf with Paul on my cart. There is no doubt, the band goes overboard to satisfy and communicate with their fans. There is also no doubt in my mind that Richie Hayward was and still is, THE BEST DRUMMER EVER!!!! carmanwilly
I got to shake Richie's hand and thank him for all the music after he played with another band at this same festival. He was weak, but so gracious. The other drummer who played for half the LIttle Feat set was good, but even at this stage of his illness the band was soooo much better when Richie took the drum stool.
Besides all of the great music, they are/were a bunch of outstanding people ... took my 7 year old son on their tour bus after a show and showed him around ... he's never forgotten that ... class acts all around!
When the guys formed this band way back in the late 60s , they have stayed together for decades ,when they lost Lowell George through od in 79, they carried on ,in 2010 Ritchie Hayward passed yet the Feats are still carrying on ...the band that never quit, one of the most versatile bands that did it their way
I met Richie in Rehoboth Delaware.. Got to hang out and buy him a beer or two..RIP Richie..Maybe you and Lowell can play Long lonesome whistle..

Sad and hard to believe he was dead 1 day short of a month after this performance!

heard them a week ago. The new drummer really can't play this material and Paul insists on singing almost everything but he can't sing. Left early..
