wow i love your video, i was bought a AB kit (aircompress+cheap AB gun) few days ago, and i try to learns something from the video like you do!! i collect a lot of MG (about 20+ kit, almost is zeon MS), and it's still grand new to nowadays..anyway...you the best...siege zeon...
I say this to ALL model builders(especially Gunpla builders! :-P) They look so much better when airbrushed. I know a lot of us can't afford to get one, but I know that I am eventually going to get one. Like most of you, I've been using spray paint and paint brushes for way too long and not qute getting the look I'm going for.( not that they don't look nice, just not great though.) Videos like this have convinced me that the look I want is right out of a Wal Mart Hobby isle, but just to start.
Let's try step by step with a simple and cheap kit and then check if the result is good for your taste. If you will like to paint them, with pratice your kits could improve always. ;)
It 's my handmade work started from a "kitbash" with an old Zambot kit (Skynet) and more recent GM Master Grade (Bandai). More explanation in our video of the Zambot 3 review. ;)
A video is only a more advice but to learn is necessary to read some tutorial outside of youtube (written pages on web or book) and make a lot of pratice.
Anyway, thanks for kindness! Before to close the browser you can stop the video and watch other of own taste... -__-
The label on the thinner is not precise...The lacquer paints are composed of synthetic resin acrylic, so I have written on label only "acrylic thinner"...
did it take too much practice berfore you managed to get nice results?
I'm just bulding my first gunpla and after watching this video I'm really interested in learning how to paint it. Could you please detail the equipment you're using?
To give a similar effect without airbrush, it is necessary a lot of experience and skill with the brushes... I would not know how to do it well, they are two different techniques...
Otherwise it can highlight the paint on the edges with the DRYBRUSH technique, that you can find in our others video.
killer job thank you for not wasting my time

Are you using a flat black enamel for preshade then a lacquer for the main color?
theamarath 7 months ago
@theamarath
Hello.
I used all enamels paints (Humbrol), only the metallic red is a lacquer (Mr Hobby).

Hi,
Why do you block the needle cap and spray before spraying on the part at 2:50 and in part 1 before the pre-shading?

a big tip to making vids would be no music and instead explain what you are doing .....
KIGGZ416 1 year ago
@KIGGZ416
To make a video with explanation (above all in English) is more complicated.
It's more simple to compose a series of video without audio, then the music is added after as a pleasing accompaniment. ;)
The rest of Tutorial is in our web site, sorry.
