My grandma (father's mother) unfortunately is one of these. She darn near tore our family apart before we kicked her out. My other grandma's a polar opposite though.

To be honest I don't think age is particularly a factor. Sure you get disrespectful kids/teens, and you get entitled oldies too, but the group in between can be just as bad. It really depends on the person and the situation. Sometimes teens are nice, sometimes older people are super sweet, and sometimes adults are absolute douches! Besides, I'm sure all us adults did bad things when we were kids, and I'm definitely looking forward to being a cranky OAP ;)

I've worked on and off in the security industry for 10 years, and there are definitely attitude problems from all age groups. However i would lean towards the youth being more of a problem than the ageing generation. I did run across a fellow who was going through his second child hood and thought I was a fellow named jack, and he tried to lay into me. Pretty funny having a 80 year old man try and beat you up cause he did it in 1949.
i think both cause im young and some have problems some dont and old people think they can do everything and go first also as you said drive really slow.

I'm 18 so I can speak on behalf of Gen Y/ to a dagree the younger kids in saying to those who critisize our generation tend to forget who raised it. Disrespect has nothing to do with age. Kids disrespect their parents, adults disrespect everyone. Kids talk back and do what they're told not to, old people tell kids not to do something just to give orders. There's no limit to who disrespects others, everyone does it and can't say that they haven't at one point or another.

it doesn't matter what age you are i have seen a really pissed off old dude and then there was my grandfather he was the coolest right up until the end never let old age bother him either and he was 95 years old. To be honest I don't think age is particularly a factor. Sure you get disrespectful kids/teens, and you get entitled oldies too, but the group in between can be just as bad. It really depends on the person and the situation. Sometimes teens are nice, sometimes older people are super sweet, and sometimes adults are absolute douches! Besides, I'm sure all us adults did bad things when we were kids, and I'm definitely looking forward to being a cranky OAP ;)

im a teenager myself, and since I DO notice me and almost all of my age members being '' disrespectful'' we are always being polite to grown ups, I mean older people don't like us hanging around in groups, I mean it's just a small group ruining it for the rest, just as you said about the pythons in one of your episode, if some pythons are dangerous doesn't mean all pythons are! I just think older people should stop crying over nothing haha (my oppinion)

I've worked on and off in the security industry for 10 years, and there are definitely attitude problems from all age groups. However i would lean towards the youth being more of a problem than the ageing generation. I did run across a fellow who was going through his second child hood and thought I was a fellow named jack, and he tried to lay into me. Pretty funny having a 80 year old man try and beat you up cause he did it in 1949.

Disrespect has nothing to do with age. Kids disrespect their parents, adults disrespect everyone. Kids talk back and do what they're told not to, old people tell kids not to do something just to give orders. There's no limit to who disrespects others, everyone does it and can't say that they haven't at one point or another.

Me and my friends are at the movies, and about half way through my friend has to go to the bathroom. Throughout the movie we had been silent and pretty well behaved, and he has to go left, well, a guy to the upper RIGHT of him quietly says "annoying asshole teenagers!" He wasn't even in front of the guy!
And when you're a teen your constantly being judged. I've been kicked out of stores for no reason at all!

Kel, respect is a two way street, must go both ways, as long as you show it thats all that matters. Young kids need to learn respect, but unfortunately the parents of today have no idea how to teach it, or display it, so what hope do they have?? I don't feel either teens or older generation are worse.. Both have their good and bad.. I know old people drive me nuts!. I do also get angered after seeing way teens act these days also. I think people need to remember those old people where teens once to.
