"do you think he's gonna get fired"? LMAO you dont get fired from uncle Sam, just forced or offered early retirement, as a civilian skydiver I would laugh about this for years, but as a soldier... I would be so humiliated I would ask to go back to my prior MOS! Its a nice example of how even the best can make mistakes, maybe next year I will take a couple weeks of leave and compete against my employer at Nationals!
looks like the last 2 got hung up on each other. when they tried to move apart, they overcompensated and he got hooked on the pole. how did he end up getting down?
@drumtesters He was up there for about 10 minutes before he cut himself loose and dropped about 2-3 feet to the base of the flag pole. From there, he just walked along the top of the scoreboard to the stairs on the other side. It did take them another 10 minutes or so to get the parachute off the flagpole. After watching it over again a few times, I think you're right; I also think the wind changed direction quite fiercely right as they dropped below the flags...
Yes they are "hung up" but it was intentional. It's a parachuting discipline called CRW. The parachutist on top of the one that actually hit the pole is technically the one who is capable of doing the steering for the stack, however in this situation and under the wind conditions reported it shouldn't have been done in the first place. Both probably deserve having their tenure as a Knight ended.

Air Force Pararescue and Navy SEAL's would never embarrass themselves like this. Nothing against the Army, but, way to go Golden Knights.
