thanks..it should have a plug on the top of the case right behind the cylinder? are you running points or electronic? you get your advance from the ignition plate..shoot me an e mail drumrooster@yahoo.com be glad to help you out..gonna start my 67 build soon..:]
Very cool, I live in Richmond KY. I"m working on a 65 Bonny. I"d love to chat sometime and get some pointers. I'm really having a time with the timming. The bike was built by Carl Price. Bored .325 and sleeved, 11 / 1 Norton pistons. Ibelieve the crank to have been changed too. There is no 38 degree befor top dead center notch. Thanks , Cliff
thanks for your compliments..yea the cafe style bikes are big in the USA now..this bike was sold last summer it was a blast to ride..and yes a lotta time put in it,,as for Triumphs here yes theres plenty around ya just gotta look..you can fine a project bike for under 2 grand pretty easy.I"m doin a BSA right now,,so check back and i"ll post some of it ..maybe by spring?? take care and tahnk again
Very nice job, you should be proud. Grew up in England around these bikes. Back then it was all about cafe racers with clip-ons or "Tritons", Norton frame and Triumph engine. I was going to build a chopper like this but could not find and inexpensive Triumphs in Canada (that where I live now). I got a frame from a friend, but did not go further. Are there plenty of bike available in the US? Anyway. I can see you put a lot of thought into this bike. Nice.
You're a very talented guy with a great eye for design, what a beauty. The lines, the individual touches everywhere, the superb paint, everything! Brilliant job.
@thejollytrumper thanks man I can tell you know what your talkin about..I spent alot of time puttin on parts and takin pics then changing stuff to get it just like I wanted...and it turned out just like that,,but I did hide the cables..after this...doin a BSA now so stay tuned..
Whoa, the triumph bobber that came in here has the same bicycle badge but on down tube not head set. Diggin the paint too, I feel better too knowing your going to ride it because the gusset on the bobber here is much meatier and I was wondering how gentle to be. LOL!
saw your triumph nice work , we also live in somerset my wife and i love to ride dont know many people around here to ride with.no more science hill bike night what happened? any way if you care to give us a shout my e mail is hghanx@aol.com thanks steve
I have a shop at my house,,but I work mostly for myself and take a few jobs here and there..let me know if I can help ya out ?..thanks for the compliment..
Do you have a shop in Somerset? I am in KY, up around Elizabethtown. This is a great piece of work here...I am looking at the thoght of doing something custom with an Enfield single cylinder, maybe ever a supercharger...a blown single, how can ya' top that...:-)
thanks for the kind words man..I take alot of time on my builds till I feel like there nuthing left to do..after this video I hid the cables better and rode it a few more months,,then sold it ..man I missit bad,,it would roll...but got another build goin now 67 BSA Hornet chopper,,so check back..
