  • Seria el colmo de los colmos que usa perdiera contra el salvador siendo EEUU el pequeño gigante de la CONCACAF.

  • My teams USA,ES(:

  • Both SLV players that scored used to play for DC

  • Eso si es un grito de gol/hats a real scream for goal 3:24

  • Galaxy should get El Salvador keeper he's better than Saunders!

  • haha USA would have scored no goals if it weren't for Montes going out,Real Talk

  • @NearsL el salvador will never be at the level of the us.

  • What and Idiot for a goalie we got that replaced Montes! We would of won the match! I am a Salvadoran-American and a huge USMNT fan, I root for them all the time (except for when they play against El Salvador lol)

  • @realmadridzidane5 We used our back up as well.

  • @realmadridzidane5 the 1st isint all that good he should go to another country to play like the to dc players

  • Ok in this game it 4-2 usa's favor not 2-2

  • @MaddiesMELODY WHAT?????????????

  • Both the guys who scored for El Salvador used to play for DC United.

  • relief Montes go injured

  • VIVA USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • holy hell at 3:17 you can hear a siren. that croud is one of the most intense i've heard. damn...

  • @trojanmorvenfighton We are intense. I grew up a block away from that stadium. It is something you have to experience in person to really get the full effect. I was at this game and my ears rang for days afterwards. We let the win slip away!

  • @trojanmorvenfighton Thats How El Salvador is. everytime at night you will always heared that sound

  • That galie we had was retarted. Montes should of stayed in.

  • Damn... I was there in the people's place known as "Sol General"... it was so beauty to almost win but, like everytime, we failed... you got covered really well that day. Good luck in South Africa, you're gonna need it... got really difficult against England ..........

  • luckily for us, Montes injured, if not we would had lost,

  • Doubtful.

  • USA!

  • Cuscatlan stadium is a frightening stadium to play in. The atmosphere is very intense, specially when you have a full house.

  • I hope to play for El Salvador one day

  • same here bro !

  • Shouldn't be that hard to get in. Their team sucks.

  • there's no need for offensive remarks... :|

  • @elsalvador131993 Me too. It would be awesome

  • @elsalvador131993 shouldn't be too hard

  • the rematch feb 20 2010 ESA vs USA

  • 24th actually

  • its the 24th

  • Montes f'd up by faking and JJ Gomez looked lost. should have won this one. the fans are great, all we can do is hope that De Los cobos stays, we have some young talent!!

  • great atmosphere, but what's with that stupid siren? hahaha, los salvadorenos really need to get rid of that silly thing -- sounds very bush league.

  • well we better get ready for 2014

  • 3:25 :)

  • we would have won if players hadnt gottin cramps and the goalie got hurt the other goalie isnt good

  • Youre probaly right. Montes should have not faked his injury, If montes were playing el salvador probaly would have won 2-1, because the last usa goal was a joke.

  • @rogi711 Yeah so true, I saw Montes in the game against Mexico and he was brilliant, the goalkeeper for yall (I'm Guatemalan) that match dived at everything he saw that moved lol...

  • USA is good :) Good luck

  • Look at Salvadors goalkeeper n the usa's first goal , he looks like a begginer

  • the free kick in 1:25 was kind of cheap

  • @gotohellokitty1 Not really, El Salvador applied the offside trap in that freekick very nicely :).

  • Man .. both North and South American defense is so weak, they need to get more agressive

  • we need to grow! haha

  • i love the sound of the crowd. i wish usa appreciated this sport a little more and we could have more games like these.

  • yankees go home

  • It was Juan Jose Gomez and he faked the injury XD

  • I think that El Salvador would be more alive if they had beaten the USA team right now they did let that slip out of there hands leading 2-0 in the first half ...what a shame.... but hopefully something good happens for El Salvador .....

  • El Salvador actually is a good team, but they didn't won because of JJ Gomez, he sucks as goalkeeper, to bad for Montes thouh

  • its all about USA USA USA

  • Man this result is really coming back to haunt us...hopefully in the next process, the team has learned to close games against top teams. Long Live El Salvador.

  • I am Salvadorian, I like the U.S. but my allegiance is to the Selecta. I have to say that our team has leaped mountains to get to the level where it stands today. We let the win slip away in El Salvador and the U.S had to sweat to beat us in Salt Lake. Good games both. There is still a sliver of hope as long as the U.S. goes to Honduras looking for the win!

  • USA could have scored 3 to complete the comback, great save by the keeper

  • USA JUST WON WOOHOO!

  • I'm salvadorian and it was hard for me to decide for which team to root for but in the end I felt bad for El Salvador since it's a very small country but oh well you gotta love this game

  • I was born in US, but have salvadorean parents.

This was a must see game for me, and cool result, 2-2, although I really wish ES would have won.

  • el salvadore is gonna win agaist us

    mexico gonna win aganst cr

and hundoras is ganna against t&t

  • im pretty sure if U.S. had loud and big crowds at thier stadium it will build their confidence in winning.

  • Go El Salvador!!! baby!!! we gonna win this sat !! We are HUngry for a win !!!

  • ...bummer...

  • el salvadors playin usa on the weekend

if salvador playd lyk they did in this game, plus learn from ther mistakes, we should beat usa (as well as the last 3 world cup qualification matches (yn)

  • if tim howard was there usa would have won

  • where was Tim Howard?

  • ATTA BOY FRANKIE!!!

  • montes is the best goal keeper ever

  • i think the cramps was to loose times but they started playing to the max and thats what got them tired and the golie messed it up because he shouldnt of left

  • "YANKEES GO HOME"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think that Montes the goal keeper faked his cramps in that game if he would of stayed 1 half and 2nd El Salvador would of won the game .

  • It wasn't Montes, it was Gomez.....Montes did fake them in the Gold Cup against Jamaice though

  • @Salvatronication hahah yea right salvador win pshhh what a joke!

  • truth is noo concacaf team has been able to win out side only costa rica witch was with Trinindad

  • thats just for the final round... in the 2010 campaign the USA has wins in Grenada, Cuba, and Guatemala.

  • Guzan should have saved the second el salvador goal. IT WAS RIGHT NEXT TO HIM! IF HE FALLS DOWN, HE BLOCKS IT AND USA WOULD HAVE WON! Howard saves those every time.

  • Well, it looked as if Howard could not do as well as Guzan in the second ES/USA encounter-back in September 09'....Castillo scored against both keepers through headers. Cheers

  • benchwarmer golie almost threw the game away

  • i really wish el salvador had won that game

  • is gonna be ten times louden in azteka

  • man it wasnt even loud when usa played mexico

  • arriva centro america

al mundial honduras costa rica y el salvador

  • si arriba centro america los papas de mexico

  • el salv shud have fried them

  • I love watching this game recap.

Hejduk gets quite a knee in the back on the second goal, but the ref can't call that.

    4:32-Silence is golden.....

  • El Salv at their best is better than USA at their best but El Salv is too inconsistent. El Salv also has d best and loudest fans I've seen so far. Go Salv. USA is garbage.

  • I'll admit, the fans were great and the atmosphere was intimidating. That being said, when I watched the game, I saw an ES team at their best, and they barely held on at home. Credit to them for getting their two goals, but the US are far superior. And ES might have given up a third had they wisely not started falling down like blue bowling pins at the end.

    TYAC!!

  • you are superior at the professional level for reasons we all know. Take 11 kids from any suburban US neighborhood up against 11 kids from any barrio en El Salvador, we would mop the floor with you! simple as that!!

  • elsalavador are like the north koreans of concacaf. they arent very good but they manage to get good results.

  • I think you got that the other way around, we are good, but we get bad results because of malnutrition and cramps mainly. No other team in the world can do as many fakes and dribbles as el salvador, check them out in world cup 70, can you tell me any other team doing those moves at that time?

  • my country shuld have 1 this game at least they tied but i gotta give props 2 da US 4 not giving up ...

the same thing that happened to El Salvador happened 2 da US against Brazil

  • Great game. Love the crowd. lol

  • they cheer quite loud for the 1st goal its great atmosphere

  • yeah i hope they do too!

im from el salvador and born here in the U.S and whata hell of a game for me

but its true ,no denying it they kept "overdoing"the injuries..lol

  • I believe El Salvador would have won if Montes had stayed in as the golie....the goals came in after he got injured and El Salvador had to bring in another golie.

  • But he didn't.....and they didn't.

  • @chepenudo Then again, if the USA had used Howard as their goalie then they probably wouldn't have conceded the second goal.

  • i don't know if they were "over doing" it. they were jut getting cramps right and left. since they had been running up and down i think more than usual, i guess because they were up a bigger team. they just got really excited and got cramps burned out. i don't think that they were faking it.

  • hell yeah we are

  • just goes to show how much home field matters. The crowd was great!

  • Love the crowd reaction. GO ES!!

  • I bet you loved the crowed even more when the game ended lol. JP Dalecamera stated that "it was the quietest it's been all game". USA punish you for posing a threat to us. I'll be there in september in Salt Lake to disgrace El Salvador and limit there hopes. GO USA!

  • dude are you nuts if ouir number one goalie had stayed in the whole game you would have lost grow up!

  • Thanks for posting this ussoccerdotcom, I honestly thought USA was gonna absolutely smash ES but then again they say nothing is well written in futbal. Well done to both teams in putting on a show, definitely the most entertaining world cup qualifying match on this day - around the world. Cheers

  • usa would a killed ya if they had there good players and they still got to tie yall better get ready for mexico to kll ya

  • what good players where missing??? just oguchi n howard... n all of el salvador's players do not even play international soccer... they all play in the salvadoran league which is not competitive at all... so if you guys couldnt kill us how can mexico kill us??? el salvador just played better that game admit it... sure the usa is a much skilled team but el salvador played with their hearts n played much better than usa up unitl the last 20 mins.. so you are completely wrong!!!

  • i'm still debating whether or not to waste my time replying to such an uninformed post!....you must really not know who USA main players are....IDIOT!.....and by the way el salvador was missing 2 of our best defenders.....anaya/ martin....that was the first game played in the qualifiers for one of our center backs....so shut your mouth if you dont know.....oh and by the way i have no hairs on my tongue and speak with great confidence when i say that WE WILL SMASH MEXICO!....

  • yeah, Kevin is one of those uninformed, brainless posters. The only 2 I didn't see were Oguchi and Friedel.

  • El Salvador played a great game until they began feigning injuries like little pansies. The U.S. actually played really well, but El Salvador was on fire because of home field advantage. We have no excuse for allowing two goals. Good game.

  • Yea I remember ES started dropping like flies and playing really dirty. We started weak but finished strong it was a good game. My favorite part was the home crowd after we scored the second goal. You could here a pin drop. USA4life

  • the same way that the U.S shuld have never lost 2 Brazil 3-2 but it was actually 4-2...

El Salvador is a smaller country n actually was able 2 do sumthing against a big team like the US burn

  • el salvador only beat mexico because of home field advantage, play up at the Azteca and watch el salvador get killed...es sucks they only win at home...if they DO win lol

  • um el salvador was actually the first central american team to beat mexico in there home in mexico city so really we have beaten mexico at there home we play good everywere see how we beat costa rica we werent even playing at home

  • ha it will be funny when mexico do lose at home i cant wait 4 da game

  • you think we are losing at home to el salvador you must be joking right?

  • had to sweat til the end tho.... 2-1 great save by howard..

  • True home field advantage, i feel sorry for El Salvador on that day i'd bet on:

    Mex 4- El Salvador 0

    US!!

  • thats true, i think mexico will beat ES in the azteca but we know that the USA is going to the world cup so its still good

  • Haha. Why should they play at Azteca? Because Mexico sucks and only win at home. It's obvious, that's how all teams are. But El Salvador does good at US too. In places like Home Depot Center. They've beaten Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Denmark, and other good countries there.

  • The US didnt play at its best, but they did come up preety good in the last 20 mins

  • US US US US

  • OMG !! EL SALVADOR IR NICE..!!

  • we (E.S.) would of won if the 1st goalie handt left....it jus shows dat we need to make our players a little bit healthier for d next game...

  • I have to say El Salvador really impressed me on this match, they scored 2 beautiful goals, the second one was a killer header.. great jump at hammered the ball like a great striker. This shows they have a good game play and good overal skills however you need more than that to qualify. Physical performance is a huge factor in soccer nowadays and El salvador lacks of the proper resistance for this type of games. Got the say US MNT are playing good would it be enough to beat CR and HON?

  • youre right. I was at the game (and I'm Salvadorean. If you notice in the 2nd half towards the end, we started giving the US more room when they attacked, mostly because we're out of steam. We feel we have a "75 minute team" right now. Greatly responsible are the idiots who own the clubs who fight the federation each time to release the players in time for proper training. Sad, because I feel we have potential to be in the top 3 if our physical condition was better. Great game!

  • hell yea..go el salvador..u kno how we do..

  • U.S. would have lost this game , but Gomez the golie was a complete desaster. Take note de los Cobos , J.J. Gomez should not be in the national team . Is becouse of him that El Salvador is getting a lot of goals

  • This was a game that El Salvador should have won. They played much better than USA but their condition was a huge factor in which led to a tie. The change of golie was another reason why El Salvador ended up with a tie. Overall, it was a good game but El Salvador should of came up with 3pts.

  • usa got so lucky if it haadn't been fr our back up goalie we would have won. el salvador played better most of the game and they should have won. ARRIBA CON LA SELECCION!!!!!

  • hope fully we win the next viva el salvador

  • why cant our stadiums sound like this when the Men play at home

  • USA is way better

  • THE U.S SUCKS .....IF THEY DIDNT HAVE Donovan THEY LOSE EVERY GAME...ITS THE TRUTH

  • Stupid comment. And by the way, Altidore is better.

  • Damn the tiniest country of central america against one of the most powerful in the North, something like David versus Goliath lol. Much love to my country ES for playing a great game and respects to the US for holding their own. 1

  • what does MNT stand for? i just started following soccer so just curious

  • U.S..... MEN NATIONAL TEAM

  • MNT, STANDS FOR men national team

    (us men national team)

  • i'm guessing men's national team.

  • Well the team is USA so it would be Men' National Team...

  • Men National Team

  • El salvador was suppose to start touching the ball and not throw themselves against the wall. When your up 2-0 with 10 mins left. you touch the ball and slow down the game.

  • EL Salvador knocked the US out of the beach soccer world cup. They are getting better.

  • the US got lucky.

  • I am mexican and USA is the best team right now and is because they have structure the team and have work amazingly their young talent, will not surprise me that they finish qualify first.

  • Damn man...El Salvador ALMOST had them gringos. Lol.

  • Italians play like that... just that italians play def like no other in the world. gg btw

  • let me start by saying that the USA soccer team is superb! they rank among the beast teams of the world.. BUT i give MAD props to the El Salvador team.. they played their hearts out in that game. the stadium was crazier than any other. that second goal was amazing.. when was the last time a team scored a goal like that against USA?.. truly amazing. i tip my hat off to El Salvador. they deserve a shot at the world cup after than astonishing performance =]

  • das El Salvador ist das Beste

  • If timmy howard was in keep we would of blocked salvadors second goal

  • I was born in the U.S. but my family is from El Salvador. I was going for El Salvador cause we all know the U.S. will qualify. This game was embarrassing. El Salvador really looked amateur and sad when they tried to waste so much time. Good luck on qualifying.

  • good job to our boys for battling back!

I thought it was funny how fankie battled altidore for that ball at the end, lol, it was as if he thought altidore was el salvadorian

  • I like how Frankie totally elbows Jozy out of the way..."This one's mine!" lol.

  • USA USA USA USA USA TO WIN 2010 Don't tread on me!

  • Isn't it a coincidence that Michael Bradley the son of the coach, (who is also one of the worst players on the team) has gotten more caps than anyone else on the team?? It's disgraceful how this can happen.

  • You are completely wrong.

  • he is actually right coachs son always gets the best look on everything

  • No it isn't a coincidence, he is one of our best players especially of late. If you knew anything you would have realized that.

  • MB is a great player and is having a great season in the Bundesliga, don't discount his talent because he's the coaches son.

We didn't win but going on the road in that environment and taking a point is sufficient, they're the ones who dropped the 2 points at home not us.

  • soo wrong, bradley is amazing. he plays in bundesliga 1 and is one of the best on his team

  • You are wrong. He is one of the best players.

  • i don't think it's possible for you to be more wrong. he's not even in the top 10 in MNT caps, and he plays in a top european league, which is more than can be said of a lot of other US players.

  • this game was soooo painful to watch. el salvadors 2nd goal was a total gut check.. i really thought that was it.. ill give the us some credit though they fought back hard. go USA.

  • I was in El Salvador this summer (visiting) and I saw them play and I thought "man they suck." Saw the last couple games, same thought. So, I much like USA thought that this was going to be an easy win and although USA came back and tied, they played horribly.

They should've won this game hands down and kudos to El Salvador for taking advantage of USA's lack of power.

More so, I was disappointed in Bradley aside from being disappointed in USA as a whole 'cept for jozy & Torres.

  • I thought El Salvador had it in the bag after the second goal. Momentum and energy was on their side. But next thing you know they start time-wasting instead of breaking the US momentum the broke their own. They should be embarrassed. I still can't get the image of the guy wanting to be carried of a stretcher when he is a foot off the touchline. Embarrassing. O well there is 2014.

  • EVERYONE PUT UR SPEAKERS DOWN.....THIS CROWD IS LOUD...

    World cup atmosphere for sure.

and frankies pass to jozy was perfect not too high not too low.

and what the hell is jozy doing on the bench? its ching that should be benched didnt do a single thing that day

  • jozy got cheated out of a second goal when frankie pushed him. LOL

my uncle called me from that stadium when jozy scored it was crazy loud.

  • great highlights for the sound quality and camera positioning etc. too bad they dont show the constant fouls by the US in the 1st half with Archundia just looking the other way, and the trip in the box against Zelaya and Castillo getting slammed to the turf on a jump ball. It´s comical to watch the US when things don't go their way how they can admit to it, you sucked in this game cuz we man handled you, admit it!

  • sorry dude but the US is still alot better than El Salvador, one game doesn't change this

  • they are beter because they are the us, organization, money, training infrastructure, follo up it goes on and on, I dont deny thta, but you in typical yankee style cannot admit we manhandled you fro 75 minutes. Did you see Zelaya break Hedjuks waist 3 times and made him look like he was dancing solo? as a people person by person we take one of your suburbia kids and put ëm up any of our street kids...we would mop the floor with you, simple as that. We have a lot to improve but we rocked!

  • it goes on and on eh...how about the fact that our best athletes in our country play american football, basketball, and baseball over soccer. Your best athletes play this and only this. I have been to central america and south america....all of the kids are playing on the streets everywhere. We don't have that in the US. If our best athletes played this sport, we would be able to whoop most of the European teams.

  • For you to actually say this... wow no I'm sorry you really must not be a football fanatic... If US had their best athletes play football they couldn't with Euro teams. You can't just out of nowhere throw good athletes and expect them to whoop. Europe's football is higher and well experienced, they are on a whole different level. The US needs to embrace football and have experience at it like Euro teams to dominate.

But just "throwing" good athletes out there will do absolutely nothing...

  • that´s right, but we can start changing things one game at a time, and on this one regardless of the score WE OUTPLAYED YOU, I WAS THERE! Let me remind you this is the first game you don't win on the road for 2010 qualifying. simple as that! I have been one of the harshest critic fans of my team because 2 years ago no one gave them a chance after Anguila, things are different after one year, and they will get beter inspite of Jack Warner, fifa, concacaf and their darlings who dont want us

  • who was that at the end who almost won it for MNT? was that Ching??

  • Yes, that was Brian Ching.

  • Frankie Hejduk played a great game. He was solid in the back and was very effective pushing up.

  • Except when his guy scored the second goal.

  • I think that was Beasley's guy who scored the second goal. Hejduk doesn't usually get outjumped.

  • well....there's little excuse for that 2nd goal they got though...

    but i still love him.

  • AWESOME CROWD. USA#1.

  • That crowd must've been deafening...it blows out the camers speakers here.

Nice comeback for US, and congrats to El Salvador, who were presumably still psyched about dumping ARENA on its ass.
