Shouldn't we all agree that since he has been hand fed and given a proper diet and safe drinking water, and vet visits, and has a great area to live and enjoy - that Tony needs to be released into the wild? I have a picture of me and my cat watching Tony. I wanted him to see a big kitty kitty and he loved it. He actually wanted out of my arms to go see the large cat. How do you think Tony acted towards my cat? He did not care or mind at all. Trust me when I say I have been there and seen him many more times than you. On 5/6/11, the Animal Legal Defense Fund won its case against Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, preventing the Dept from renewing the annual permit that allows Michael Sandlin of Tiger Truck Stop, to display Tony as a roadside exhibit. When the permit expires December 2011, he will no longer be able to keep Tony confined at the truck stop. ALDF hopes to work with the Dept to find the best new home for him, providing recommendations for sanctuaries where Tony can live.
