@WSWarthog part of it, that is true, but the northern part: FYROM is outside Greece's border of course... though, in truth, the ancient historical border of greece is only limited to the peloponeses... think about it, there is not a single greek city above Athens, except for Thermon, but it's more to the west than north...

@AleksandrosBr Macedonia is considered a part of Greece now, but the Macedonians desire independence, and often site Alexander the Great as reason for it. In Alexander's time, the Macedonians were the "Other" in comparison to the Greeks.

Probably the most underrated film of all time. I don't understand why people don't enjoy this film--sure it's a long one, but it doesn't make it boring. And the homosexual undertones were true--alexander was a bisexual. I'm glad Stone explored that in his film.
