  • its an Mg3

  • to suppress a weapon like this takes away one of its largest psychological deterrents. When you here a gun like this running, you keep your head down.

  • how many here think this ruins the antique to it?

  • Ah the reduced sound of noise pollution =3

  • That's spectacularly quiet for a 7.62mm beltfed, especially for one that fires at 1250 RPM. I really thought you were using subsonic ammo for a minute there. Might I inquire as to which company produced the suppressor you were using?

  • Er sådan en MG dyr? og er det en custom lyd dæmper?

  • hitler made 3 accounts to dislike this video cuz his mg42's were never suppressed

  • That is really really beautiful. Great job.

  • TOTALLY OP

  • Isint the purpouse of an MG to be loud and surpress the enemy?

The sound alone of a 1000 rounds is discouraging.

  • hahahaha thats so wrong but awsome

  • Surprised that the suppressor kept up with it without blowing....pretty high rate of fire at end

  • why do you Danes put a suppressor on it? this weapon has to be loud ;)

  • LOL? man kan ikke have lyddæmper på en MG-42

  • :O ......must.....OWN!!!!

  • how do u shoot full auto guns leagly

  • an mg42 with a suppressor is like porno with condoms: it cannot work.

  • don't suppress it MAKE IT HARDER FASTER LOUDER! RRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • How do you change the barrel with the suppressor attached? Is the suppressor quickly detachable since it will cause the barrel to overheat faster, and would interfere with the quick-change barrel's mechanism?

  • @Mazryonh

No problem, the supressor is not attached to the barrel, but to the frame. The same way as the flashhider.

  • @HagelbergArms I see. But still, at 1200 RPM, this was and still a gun that was famous for overheating, and because of the suppressor slowing down the gases, it will overheat faster than usual. Do you sometimes pour water on the suppressor to occassionally cool it down?

  • its still loud as hell lol

  • If that's shooting the standard 7.92 Mauser

Round that they did in ww2 that is a Huge reduction in sound level. Very impressive. Whats the make of suppressor?

  • sounds like a bird

  • The silencer is good, but the rounds echo so bad that it completely destroys the purpose of it. XD

  • @TheHandgunhero The echo is because there are walls on each side of the range. If out in the open it would´nt be so loude, also the video dont do the suppressor justice, in real life it does´nt sound very loud.

  • damn that looks good with a suppresor

  • uhh... doesn't sound too "silent" if theres an echo lmao...

(i know... silencers arent supposed to "silence" it... just a bit ironic...)

  • lol what a waste of money. a supressed MG42 makes no sense, because this weapon lives for it firepower. u need a very weak special supressammunition for suppressed weapons.

  • @Onewayticket2 Well this one fires standard ammo so.... dont need that. Also MG62 :) Most silencers used are so you can hear your mates and your orders etc etc.

  • @Onewayticket2

It was fired with standard NATO 7.62, so therefore there is no lack of firepower. The main purpose is not to stress the shooter and his friends at the firing line, and because of this you will be able to have a better communication during a firefight.

  • @HagelbergArms i think hes talking about subsonic ammo.. but i dont think that ammo could cycle the mg42 action..

  • @HagelbergArms

Why it is not a MG42...

The MG42 firers 7.92x57 Mauser and does not take the 7.62x51 Nato round.

The weapon the danish army designate "M62" is a Rheinmetall MG3.

It is based on the MG42, but is not the same gun.

  • @Geilswijk There are conversion kits/barrels for the MG42 to shoot 7.62 NATO

  • @HagelbergArms Half of what makes guns loud are the velocity of the rounds themself, aka, supersonic. So unless you use subsonic rounds which would significantly weaken the gun (not even sure the action works with subsonic) then it will still be loud as hell, and you know this to be true.

On top of that you would need to use a supressor with subsonic ammo on all guns in a firefight to be able to communicate. Been there, done that, you can't hear shit even if you scream.

  • @FuriousJoeDK Well you better text messege them then :)))))))))

  • @HagelbergArms how did u get a 7.62 arnt mg42s fired with the 8mm Mauser

  • @HagelbergArms doesn't it just make you jump for joy when you encounter fine folks on Youtube with absolutely ZERO weapons knowledge?? Suppressors seem to be something Call Of Duty kids think ruins a weapon in reality.

  • @Onewayticket2 noo i dont think u need special ammo for a suppressor it just an extention to the barrel

  • @JTF2man normally if you don't want the bullets to pass the speed of sound ( wich makes a loud bang ) you should use special SUBsonic ammunition (wich travels under the speed of sound)

  • The nazis issued silencers for them. Though back then they were probably just so they could hear one another shouting.

  • i think its usless to put a scilencer/ suppressor on a MG the flash is gonna give you away anyways

  • @VALVEGAMER20 The suppressor also suppres the muzzelflash. But fire more than 300 rounds in less than 2 minutes, you´r gonna have a glowing barrel anyway :)

  • kind of odd...if you right next to it yeah its quieter but you would still be able to hear it. but if your shotting at someone their like "huh?" *pop* lol.

  • thats very quiet. nice suppressor

  • can you use ammo with disintegrating links?

  • i er fandenedma heldige at have tilladelse til lyddæmper!:D

  • awesome but i bet its very expensive to keep replacing the silencer due to the rate of fire, how exstensive is the use of silenced mg42`s mg3 in the danish army ?

  • Nope it is not expensive, this sample has fired +35.000 rounds without paticulary signs of wear and weakness.

The Danish Army are not equipped with suppressors for their machineguns.

  • i Believe that the danish army does not use suppressors on their machine guns at all.

  • DIKKE ZEVER

  • Oh my fucking god! STÅPIK!!

  • omg its beautiful ( ;

  • that is awesome!

something for the next Rainbow Six game? :P

  • wow ive always wondered that gun suppressed

  • ...and it is far more convenient to the user... and those standing around .... but not for anyone in front of the machine gun ;-)

  • lol :P
