The reason they are decreasing honor for bgs and increasing the number of honor for hks is because they are trying to stop AFKs in bgs because less honor for just sitting there and more honor for going out and killing people... but its just not just HKs its also killes in general u get more honor for, so if ur out with a group of 5 friends killing u get alot more honor for the killes ur getting(another reason to not afk) so decreasing the BGs worth in honor by 50% so less honor for afks in gen.

It's not so much the difference in difficulty between getting pve gear and pvp... arguing if chain queueing losing bgs should reward pvp gear or not is a different story, but pvp gear should come from pvp and that's where blizzard decided to put it for now.

The real problem is that the honor grind is so slow and tedious, that the fastest (or least slow, more accurately) way to get honor gear is actually to chain queue heroics and buy wintergrasp commendations with stone keeper shards...
