  • where did you get this mix of music? It reminds me quite strongly of something I saw in one of Westlake High School's TEC Light Shows. I think it was the 2007 one

  • @iamvonimmel Check out my recent work.

  • what are the songs in this??

  • @eliothaloexpert Here they are, in order: The Elevator - Particle, Thunderstruck - AC/DC, Nostalgia - Yanni, Pirates of the Caribbean main theme, Runaway - Bon Jovi, Appalachian Snowfall - Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Welcome to the Jungle - Guns N' Roses, Metal Gear Solid 2 Main theme, Siberian Sleigh Ride - Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Wish Liszt (Toy Shop Madness) - Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

  • hey nice show, i use freestyler as well, only got a couple of Martin SCX500 at the moment. how do you do it to music in freestyler or are you manually cueing the scenes?

  • @lshervey In the Freestlyer que, on the bar that has your scene in it, near the end there should be a line that says something like "HH:MM:SS". This is timecode, you type in a time you want your sequence to automatically play. For example "00:01:10" that means that the selected sequence will play at one minute and ten seconds into your show. I use timecode in all of my shows.

  • Nice effects. How hard would it be to create that setup if the person (me) had no real experience?

  • @TheMechElite I don't quite understand your question... Are you asking how hard it would be to make the lights be in a good position or are you asking how hard it would be to program them?

  • @watertower7 Sorry for the misunderstanding, but I was just wondering how difficult would it be to program the show. I'm looking into purchasing lighting for dances which I run at my high school. I DJ the dance, but I know nothing on lighting effects. By the way, do you control your lights with a computer or a lighting control unit.

  • @TheMechElite Programming is actually quite simple. I programed this show in about 5-6 hours. If you control your fixtures with a computer it is even easier. I control my lights with a computer that is using Freestyler. Freestyler is a free lighting software that is very effective and is compatible with almost any DMX interface. I am using the Velleman VM116. It is very inexpensive compared to the rest. If you know absolutely nothing at all about lighting, I will PM you a much longer tutorial.

  • @watertower7 I have a vague concept of lighting, but if you can a tutorial would be awesome.

  • What program did you use? I'm planning on creating a show aswell

  • @MrEplanet I used Freestyler with a Velleman USB DMX interface dongle.

  • @watertower7 (K8062/VM116)?

I'll be purchasing that one aswell ;)

  • @MrEplanet I have the VM116. The only problem with it is that the cord it comes with is not very high quality. A good thing to do is to replace the original Velleman cord with a printer cord. Hope this helps! :)

  • @MrEplanet use freestyler
