I preferred the book, but I think they made the right decision changing it for the film- the book had so many sub-plots etc, it would have been far too long. I think Jamal's name should have been kept as Ram Mohammad Thomas though.

the film is quite good. but the setting... it would have been better if it was in brazil or somewhere. less crowded and more realistic. when latika was caught at the station nobody did anything, they just watched. quite unrealistic. but freida and dev were great

I saw Slumdog Millionaire. I thought it was spectacular and one of those movies that makes you feel like you're on the edge of your seat while watching it. To me anyway. If anyone who is a moviegoer like me, I recommend this one.
