Marriage is a holy thing in many religions. But it is most assuredly NOT a holy thing as far as the government is concerned. You can get married tomorrow in a Church, but until you file a marriage license with the state, you are NOT married as far as they are concerned.
If you want to limit it to a holy thing, you're saying that people that are not religious would not be able to get married, or people that don't share the same religion would not be able to get married.

And by the way, no, the original King James Version of the bible does not use the word "homosexual." If you see that in the bible, it is NOT the original King James Version, but another altered version. Homosexual, as a word in the English language, started being used around 1892.
