I just tried this out. I have an older system with a single processor (AMD64, single core) and ATI 3850HD and it runs just fine for me. I'm in the process of upgrading my system to something much better. Got any recommendations on the best iZ3D settings for this? I'm curious what separation you used? I found 5% almost completely eliminated any ghost red outlines... but I'm not sure how this effects depth perception. 20% is probably the most I would want to put it... any thoughts on this?

if you change the settings for iz3d you can make it look really 3d.. just play around with the settings!

hmm, is this easy to set up? are the colors always kind of messed up (to bright, not sharp, etc)? i tried it out with glasses, and here it was much better than in other vids... ^^

if yes on both of the above, plz answer these too (i want it to work well from the start): does it use lots of ram while not running, and is it easy to shut off? will the hotkey disturb my normal usage while not playing any game, but still having the program activiated?

the color, and etc. can look messed up to a regular eye, the 3D classes basically use multi-verse FX (thats what i call it, meaning uses for that 1 image render(er)) so w/o 3d glasses it may hurt your head because your mind can't comprehend 2 camera's at once, thats y it pops with glasses

ok, for one you don't need an awesome graphics card for this my gay ass comp has a nividea 6700. Secondly download the iz3d install, set up options for the red/cyan (red/green). it will ask you for a hot key to activate it when you need it in game. If not use the star or multiplication key on your number pad. bingo wow in 3d. Use the + or - keys to adjust separation. BTW WoW in 3-D sucks balls so don't bother.

WoW sucks in 3-D because you're running it with a 6700.. it doesn't suck balls, It's a very nice fantasy world in 3-D;)

You need a HECK of a good Graphics Card to use the iZ3D Drivers.

this program adds blue and red "shadows" around the objets to make a 3d effect

obviusly, yo u will need 3d gogles red and blue cyan

i've tried once with asus VR glasses back in Voodoo era, this anaglyph pictures makes me dizzy - cause nausea.

try that on FPS games.. whoaa - because what? because games won't go 60fps like it should. graphics card should draw two frame at one screen, so.. to draw 60fps (normal) it should process 120fps (2 frames) - can your card do that?

so 3d monitor isnt 3d at all, it divide visual into 2 frames. still require graphic card horsepower

It's not drawing 2 frames.

It's drawing a red and a green object the glasses flick each eye on/off so your brain is tricked into seeing a 3d image.

That's why you require the glasses other wise it doesn't work for a a lot of people, for some it does without glasses.

It could be more processing than doing normal work but not 120fps required.

I think he talks about the polarized glasses which only let one "type" of light go through each eye. The left image shows on the first frame, and the right on the second etc. at 120 fps (double of 60) so it looks 3d.

60 fps isn't required at all,

crysis runs smooth on 30 fps.

just like all other games. just like movies showed at 28FPS

there are those 2 differnt versions which means you need to wear the 3d glasses for it to take effect. That would kinda annoy you while gaming after a whike

Its a 3d monitor and to optain the 3d effect, they literally but 2 lcd screens in the one monitor to gain the 3d effect. However more and more online games are making 3d effects like Track Mania so you wont need monitors like this.
