i record whole songs off this pedal.with changes all the way though.nothing but the drums repeat .i use a drum machine but thats it .all the rest is all played by me .you should check it out.its tuff but fun as hell.check out the songs off the ride the 10 min video.the video is weak but its more about the music than anyhing else............Dain Bramadged
In the beginning, I thought you were going to start playing the Seinfeld theme song, haha! But nevertheless, excellent demonstration. I enjoyed it. :) I'm looking into getting the JamMan for myself!
Do you hear how much better the recorded track is on the Digitech than on the line 6. It is dedicated to that purpose. I noticed the gold top you were playing in a different vid. A few years ago I sold a 52' gold top Les Paul. My father bought it new in 52'. As it turned out it was one of the first 50 LP's ever made. One of the first offers was from a museum in France. Nowadays I play a 1994 Humphrey cedar top and a 90' Strat, as I have retired.
Very good! You are an excellent player. I'm just starting to get a hang of my JamMan looper. I use digital drum, bass and guitar and it works amazingly well. The XLR input can be used with a line signal by first going through a DI box. I works for me. Thanks again.
Without the guitar in your hands, I would have never guessed you were such an amazing rocker. (Like my mother always said, looks can be decieving!) lol
Seriously though, those are some AMZING skills you got there! I envy you! Thanks for making this video!
@werewolvesofmohnton i know what problem you speak of its a matter of wiring your patch chords in the " correct order " i run the loop station to the amp and then all effects have to come into the loop before it passes on to the amp
@rotren that is so sweet man that axe must play like butter. if you dont mind me asking what are those jazzy chords you throw together at the beginning?
All youve got to do is sync your jam man master volume with the volume of your instruments and it will seriously sound like there hasnt been a single change. it takes a bit of fine tuning but its worth it for live events. Also whats neat is theres no competition between instruments when looping, so you wont lose any previous instruments looped before or have sertain notes "disappear" from your preveous looped riffs. I reccomend this pedal and the boss loop stations. :D
you can set the loop volume level by a single knob, without having effekt on the live guitar sound (you have another level knob for that.) if this first knob has been set to a lower gain than the second one, it will produce a "volume drop".
Pretty dope. I think your instrument level was too high in comparison to your loop level but that sounded pretty damn good. I use the JamMan too. Feel free to come check it out.
How many loops can you do? I read a review that said something about losing quality after each loop you add. Would that be accurate? I hope not cos I really want one of these.
Its 'accurate', but its the same thing with any pedal you own. If you have massive amounts of delay on a digital delay pedal, the sound will be comprimised too, pedals will only transfer so much data to an amp, and the amp will only project so much in the forefront. However, I own a jam man and its been my experience that it takes at least 5 or 6 loops on a half decent amp before the sound starts to give out a bit on the early loops. Dont expect to get anything better in the loop department man!
I picked up one of these about 3 weeks ago, i think it has like 6.5 hours of recordable time with the (included) 2gig memory card. This thing is so much fun, and it's easy to use, very user friendly. I brought it to band practice one day and was messing with them by playing the first phrases of the chorus and verse and letting the pedal do the rest. Very good for practicing as well.
6.5 hours with 2gb. it was made to loop. imo it's beter than the 'boss rc20xl loop station', cuz u can plug all of ur stuff into the comp. and the records would be files.

i just got the chicken salad and i love it. i have 2 questions tho......1.) Do u need a different adaptor for the mini pedals?
2.) what do u have the nobs on the chicken salad set to? i love the tone u get in this video! thanks
werewolvesofmohnton 2 years ago
I used a regular adaptor for the Chicken Salad. I don't remember the settings, but it was nothing unusual. Just turn the knobs until it sounds good.

how do i put drum samples from garageband on this
robertn12 2 years ago
1. audio output from your computer to the pedal
2. the better possibility: use the SD Card slot built in the pedal ;)

Does the volume of the loop playing back automatically drop in volume like this? or have you turned down the output level from maximum?

This exactly, you need to adjust the output volume of the JamMan to match the instrument.
shneebleu 2 years ago
The loop and direct levels are adjusted separately via their own pots.
3Deity 2 years ago
you can adjust the volume that the JamMan outputs

I imagine you should have Octaver pedal in fron of it.

well make sure the octaver pedal goes into the input like all of your pedals should overwise it sounds like one big mess through the output

how long can it loop for? i have a Boss DD-6 which has looping but only for 5 seconds
jhaeck 3 years ago
It's based on what memory card you have; how much space you can store. With a 2 GB memory card, you have several hours of looping available.
dolphinstreetguitar 3 years ago

yeah you can buy a foot switch for this to change the loops while your playing its definatly worth buying both it the
"Digitech FS3X Footswitch"
works perfect iff your the only guitarist in your band
