  • They rally all season so they don't have time to work on the organ....i salute Jack Schofield for his hard work.....this group of people keep the set well restored looking antique....unlike others that look like something off PIMP MY RIDE!!! Even in its working days it wouldn't have sounded perfect...I have heard alot worse!!! Be grateful we still have a set of gallopers on the rally scene, because if there were non u would all be complaining then!!!

  • I remember this organ at Nottingham Goose fair in 1968 when the ride and organ were still in the ownership of Billy Ashley. It was a barrel organ then, not having been converted to the book system. I remember it played MacNamaras band over and over again.....dreadfully! It really needs burning! lol

  • @harbottle99 I think its a common problem with organs of this type, the fact that it needs tuning too often. But i have heard it play really well once at an event at Bridgemere. (But to be fair, Mr Schoefeild is tone deaf and cant tell the diffrence lol)

  • Poor old thing. Sounds dreadful.

  • @orchestrophone I think its alright. But then again im used to hearing this organ sounding a hell of a lot worse than this.

  • @orchestrophone how does yours sound?
