@1Adr1an6 I think it was a mix between Medium and High, although they are shown in the video. And I was running a 4 year old graphics card back then, so maxing out most games wasn't an option.
@pkwism Intel have a bit better cache distribution and my 8600GT is 3 years old.
Anyway I'm looking forward to getting something that won't bottleneck my Processor like the 5 year old 8600GT.
Something along the lines of the HD5670 or a 8800GTX even though I would prefer the ATI card cus the 8800 is quite old and doesn't have DX11 support and it's a fraction slower and at the same time more expensive lol.
Anyway thanks for sharing your FPS, It may help other people with Intel CPUs.
@AmberJones42 hmm. The processor does kind of bottleneck the Graphics card for you. But with the big caches that Intel uses, I think you will run it just fine on high and 1280x720 or even a higher resolution.
@enc306 hmm. Even though the game doesn't really depend on the CPU I would suggest Overclocking it a bit if possible. It would certanly add a couple of FPS on bigger race tracks. Otherwise I would expect 20-30FPS on your computer with these settings.
PS: 20FPS are good for even some shooters and racing games are not so FPS sensitive.
@enc306 The only problem I have had with FPS while not recording was when my Antivirus started Updating and made the game go in slow motion. Otherwise it's been a jewel ( accept for the time it takes to load)
It's very playable, most of the time it's 30+ FPS
Looks great !
I got this game free with my GIGABYTE 6950, can't wait to play it !

@1Adr1an6 Good for you! It's a really good game, but that graphics card is overkill for any game, let alone one based on a racing game engine!

@newgenerationisbg yeaa, well.
I guess when it's a racing game it had better be well optimized, what settings are on ?
Max or ??

@SNOWBALL585 LOL, that was the benchmark, all AI driving. I don't controll them. Otherwise all that would be left of them is scrap metal ;)

hey man, got a 8600gt @ 1gb with a core2duo 2.66ghz with 4gb DDR2 ram will it run fine on xp sp3?i mean smoothly and nice graphics.
played dirt2 @ max graphics
rockingitalready 4 months ago
@rockingitalready Should run just fine, Even though your Core 2 Duo is a slower clock speed it is still much better than my CPU.

@newgenerationisbg thanx for replying.

Runs well on a 86gt ;-) , i have a e5300 (about the same as x2 6000) and 2gb ddr2 667mhz but an 8800gt 512mb and i avrg 45+fps maxed out@16x12

@newgenerationisbg
yea intel have better cache but amd have a much better memory controller built on to the cpu die which is much faster than intel's.
i wouldnt go with a hd5670, the 8800gtx would be much faster as a gtx is faster than my 88gt which is quicker than the 5670.
Try for a hd5750 or even an older hd4850 as these are much better than the 5670, especially if you can get one cheap ;-)
pkwism 8 months ago
@pkwism my PSU is only 400W and I don't think I have a power connector for a 4850, though the 5750 I think I can manage

@newgenerationisbg Can i run it with my Alienware M11X R2, 4GB DDR2 RAM, nVidia GT 335M 1GB(dedicated card), intel core i3 330UM, 1.6ghz HT?

I have 2gb Ram. How do you think it will run it?
Emilianodigital 8 months ago
@Emilianodigital hmm.
Pretty much the same way as I do, 25-45FPS and 25 where the effects are a whole lot.
I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

it runs very nice on your 8600 gt.........i have 9800 gt 1gb
c2q q8300@2.5ghz
4 gb ddr2 ram
can i max out this game with 30fps+
deep1994ful 9 months ago
@deep1994ful you can probably.
Your graphics card is about 3x mine so you should be able to play it with no problem maxed out.
Not to mention your Quad core processor.
