  • try to keep the rhythm steadier. there's quite a lot of rushing in all the parts at different times so it makes it less together. also work a bit more on dynamics.

    The power of Haydn's genius is not in flashy flourish, nor in grand posing, rather it is in the simple little melodic stepping stones of which his compositions are mostly made.

    And the dazzling of Bach is but tinsel over such simple things!

    A tune is, after all, just a tune.

  • FJ Haydn was the greatest composer of String Quartets. Even, Mozart's String Quartets are not as good. You guys/gal a fine job. I am happy to see musicians playing more of Haydn's music. He is totally underrated.
