im sticking to regular phone keypads because when the screen get cracked on a touch pad its over :) you gotta get a new phone. keypads when the screen cracks no biggie u can still dial and talk to people. thats what the cell phone was originally meant for but now its all advertisement and people getting suckered into paying for stuff they dont need on a phone pretty soon your gonna hav to but the phone then buy the features to get it to work then buy a plan or minutes

the phone its self is cool though with the touch pad its not really new technology its just old technology used in different ways.

It is obvious that you have never had any touch screen phone in your hands or at least any HTC device. This screens are made to last for long and so they do. I have HTC Prophet for more than 2 years now, using it VERY much in not very nice way (metal body is full of scrathes horrible after lots of bad fall downs)but still the display is in perfect condition thanks to neat inbuild under the top level and generally great manufacturing.

I think CooTek's TouchPal works much better than this 12 keyboard on Sprint Touch. It easier to type in accurate letters.
